i got this a week ago and i love it; its my 1st blackberry. it may have sucked when it first came out but now it doesnt because i made improvements like adding a trimmed business card under the battery which made it click 10X better and updated the OS to 5. which made it freezes rarely and not nearly as much as before. you can change it so it doesnt auto dim also

yeah but i like the chocolate design with the easy button on the side that just goes straight to your music that you downloaded off the internet. the storm might not have a button on the side but i want to know if the storm has a fast and easy to use music player instead of going on VCast and searching through your music.

The BlackBerry Storm has two convenience keys. one on each side. These can be changed to open whatever you want. Including the Music player app.

I do not do Vcast but I assume anything you get from vcast will save to your SD card and be accessible from the music player app.

Oh in case anyone is wondering how to set up your Storm's convenience keys it's easy.

go to options>Screen/keyboard> Scroll down and you will see both right and left side convenience key and the current function of those keys. Click on the box to open a list of your apps and pick which one you want.

Lol I actually traded in my iPhone 3G for a Storm with Telus and damn the storm is better (at least for me). IT may be more complicated, but the excess abilities do not get in the way with the usual functions. Its fast and never fails. My vote will go to the Storm. The iPhone kind of sucks (at least mine did). The click screen I like. Depends on your tastes.

thats realy good to know about the typing slow. i'm a fast typer and in going back and forth with the 8330 or the storm. another thing you should test with the phone is dust under the screen. i have a friend who puts it in his pocket and has a bunch of dust under it due to the gap around the edges and that it moves. that would bug me!! thing i will stick with the curve 8330

Uhhh, in total i believe it is like $170. i'm not totally sure since i just gave the money to my dad and he bought it. the phone comes with unlimeted text and stuff so the only thing ur gonna get a plan for is talking. i got a basic plan at $30? so add up that, it's about $200. trust me, u'll like the phone.

if you just move your thumbs a little higher up that split second will give the screen time to lift back up, and you should be able to type pretty fast. at least thats what has worked for me. by no means is this comparable to the iphone unfortunately.

Lots of "two-fold"-ing going on here. I've had the phone for almost a week and had an 8830 and I'll NEVER go back to an actual keyboard. The speed limit thing is bullshit anyway if you are going from a Blackberry to this. Im able to type FASTER now and it DOES take time to get used to it no question, but I am a power user (an iPhone user does not a power user make) and love it.

"Its not a fanboy thing". Yes it is nerd and I've used an iPhone and the keyboard typing is 10x easier on the Storm.
