  • omg! 2:18 minzy and bom went ot a dog cafe in 2ne1 TV!

  • sigh, they show Korea but cant even speak the language

  • @siespanol101 uh, did you expect them to learn to speak Korean? You have some high expectations. Isn't enough they love Korean culture that they've been there for 3 years? And they do know more Korean than some Korean Americans or other 100% Koreans abroad. It's not easy to take on another language. They are from Canada, so they speak english and probably some French.

  • @thatgirlvivian according to a korean newspaper, they plan to move to japan or china sooner or later. so sad!!!

  • @siespanol101 do they have to be able to speak korean? can you speak it? dont criticize people, it's not like you are any better than them. isnt it enough that they love korean culture enough to make this videos for others who cant experience the culture to watch? people (lowlifes) like you annoy me.

  • @iLOv3kp0p haha thats like me doing videos about Japan when I live in tokyo for 3+ years but still cant speak japanese

Besides I bet if I lived in Korea I could learn korean withing 3-5 years

Just sad they do all this yet never actually try to improve there korean

  • @siespanol101 is your comment about you being in Japan and not being able to speak japanese true?? if that is, then you shouldn't speak about Simon and Martina like that when you're having the same problem (or were you just making a comparison??? sorry wasn't that explicit) and Koren takes more than 4 yrs just to speak..... esp if you're working or are older than a college student

  • COFFEEPRINCE.

  • i dont think anything can compare to my double double from timmies.... :)

  • Totally thought those cats were for eating at first.... I got so scared.

  • haha i just finished watching "Coffee Prince" so unfortunately i was thinking, HEY she's not making it like Eun Chan! and then i thought of my favorite song from BIGBANG "Cafe". (sorry Simon, Martina would appreciate that more haha)

And when you say "Korean coffee", do you mean coffee prepared by Koreans or coffee beans grown in Korea? like a special roast or something?

  • i wanna go to korea just to meet simon and martina!! and also because korea looks like an amazing country of course ;)

  • Could somebody please tell me where the cat cafe is? I really wanna go there when I'm in Korea.

  • its a cat cafe! then the dwag is like wtf lolz !

  • oh my god cat cafe. i have to go there. i haveeeeeeee toooooooo!!!!!!!

  • mmmm.. pascucci's coffee!!! i'm sorry but i thik that the italian coffee is the best...come on, "latte" ,"cappuccino", "espresso" are all italian words...we have to admit... caffè italiano per sempre... :)

  • I need to try their coffee someday.

  • muffin, cookie, cheese cake, and pudding - how cuteeeee!! :DD

  • new york times mentions that world traveler coffee drinkers are starting to discover korea as some of the world best coffee brewers.

  • cat cafe <3

  • o.O that what is done in the coffee in the end is A-W-E-S-O-M-E o.O =D

LOL cat cafe xD I want to go there xD

  • haha the lady is adorable (:

is she tiny or your just really too tall?

    I think it's both lol . & cat cafe ? cool .

  • i wish they could have kitty cafes here :( but noooooooo its a health hazard -.- yet eating mcdonalds isnt? COMMON lol theres cat IN the burgers XD

  • Hmmm coffeee

  • I want that ice latte!!! ah! and the cat coffee shope looks awsome....*sigh* I wanna go... D:

  • The barista was like "oh, a giant! "

I usually don't drink coffee but do they have things like a frappocino (did I spell that okay?) cause I like those... But that Latte does look better than most I have had... It looks so frothy and foamy and fluffy... it looks liek cotton candy fluffy and I want to eat it!!

  • Muffin, Cookie, Cheesecake and Pudding. Best names ever.

  • @yexey So, what are you? A racist?

  • @KpopSoCool

Up until a few years ago, all Korean coffee shops served ONLY instant coffee. It was the American company Starbucks which helped to make brewed coffee popular in Korea, but again, that was only recently.

And let me tell you something about coffee. The quality is mostly dependent upon the origin of the beans and how they are mixed. Korea has NEVER grown its own coffee and has NO history of drinking it. I assure you, Korean coffee is generally poor quality and grossly overpriced.

  • @yexey Okay, I respect your opinion on that. But your first comment was totally rude. (1) It was Canadians (well, I love that Canadian couple, though) that said Korean coffee is good. But you said like we Koreans promote ourselves, which is simply wrong. (2) I don't even think Korean coffee is the best in the world myself. No Koreans would think so. (3) Don't leave comments like that. You really seem to be a racist.

  • @KpopSoCool

    Your comment is rude!

You called me racist because I said Korea doesn't have the best coffee in the world.

    Shame on you!

Also, I live in Korea and I have ajoshis and ajumas spit and swear at me all the time because I'm a waegukin.

    THAT is racist.

  • @yexey No, I'm not talking about your opinion on Korean coffee. And you know it. Don't cover it up that you actually left those comments to insult Koreans. You said like we Koreans promote ourselves on everything, and that's what you really wanted to say.

Well, then, what's wrong with promoting, anyway? I don't see any problems on that. BUT, it was a Canadian guy that said Korean coffee is good in this vid. Not Koreans! And why don't you just respect his opinion?

  • @yexey nice- so some ignorant, racist old people offended you and now you're taking your resentments out on all koreans everywhere.

  • @joah07

No. I'm criticizing Korean government tourism strategies, NOT "all koreans everywhere". Don't take it so personally.

My point is: saying "Korea has the best coffee" will not encourage foreign tourists to visit Korea. It might make Koreans feel proud, but nobody outside Korea believes it. Why? Because Korea has no history of coffee production.

Simon was paid to be in this video and he obviously had a script. I doubt he believes what he said.

  • @yexey they're not advertising korea for specifically, their coffee. there is a difference between tourism and culture videos. this seems to be one of the videos that show more about little parts of Korea and how some of the vlogger's individual perspective goes into their view of Korea, not necessarily promote it for tourism.

  • @yexey now you're trying to come off as the calm, rational voice of reason. Do you not recall the tone and content of your first couple of posts? Listen, if you were as calm and rational as you think you are there wouldn't be so many people annoyed by your posts. As for Korea hiring Simon to spread coffee propaganda (wow, that doesn't sound crazy at all), where's your proof? For that matter, how do I know that Kim Jong Il hasn't hired you to be a troll for this video?

  • @yexey BTW "Korean government tourism strategies?' Did you see their videos about Korean ear picks and nose rollers? Hilarious as they were, do you really think the government would have funded that?

  • @joah07

The earpick video is posted on their personal website. This one was made for Arirang TV. The two have a totally different style, so its obvious that they sold out for this video and Arirang wrote the script.

Also, Canadians don't care if someones father recommended something - it seems like a stupid thing to say actually. However that kind of sentiment does appeal to Koreans.

Obviously the script was written by Koreans for Koreans.

  • @yexey koreans don't usually watch Arirang.... it's only like Koreans who live outside of Korea or foreigners that watch Arirang. are you even Korean. it seems as if you know nothing about the people or their culture

  • @tokee1234567

I'm saying that the video was scripted according to the domestic Korean perception of "effective promotion" and not in a way that would appeal to Westerners. In that sense, the makers of this film are ignorant of Western culture.

Like I said, the line about "my father's favorite" would appeal to Koreans, but its totally unconvincing and a bit bizzare to Westerners.

If you think that line is going to impress anyone, then you know nothing about Western people or their culture.

  • @yexey exactly: origin and how they are mixed. where the beans are from has no importance. You can have the best ingredients in the world, but that won't matter unless you know how to prepare them well. And if you go down that road, there are various things named "best" that import from other countries, nothing now is really just from one country, that's the beauty of trade. Please don't "assure" us, it's an opinion not a fact that you're giving us. @Kpopsocool Let them have an opinion

  • Comment removed

  • @Theresnosuchthing08

No, you've got it wrong. "Preparing coffee well" has very little to do with its quality. As I said, the quality depends on where the beans were grown (their origin) and how they are mixed. Different countries' soil has different characteristics which affect the flavor of the bean. Korea can't even grow coffee beans, so it's just stupid to say "Korean coffee is the best".

Also, don't forget that Simon was paid by Arirang for this.

  • @yexey the preparation also plays in part. when you make coffee, there is the top part called crema (donno exact spelling) that contains the essense, or the actually good flavor of the coffee so to speak. if you don't pour anything else like steamed milk within a short time period the real taste of that coffee will change (I worked as a barista for a few months). and who cares? saying Korean coffee is the best is not that much different from ppl saying starbucks has best coffee

  • reminds me of Coffee Prince :D <3

  • Cafe Lua has been added to my bucket list cause you guys make it see like the best coffee place in the world.

  • We have the same mac, oh baby yahhh <3

  • apparently the "cafe lua" was advised from barista lim who was an advisor of the "coffee prince no.1"

  • I went to a dog cafe when I was in Korea.

  • I'm from Holland, so when I saw the word "coffeeshop" I think of something else.

  • @JosefineJoos LOL

  • @JosefineJoos Ahahahaha only in Holland...... buy me a ticket to Amsterdam and I'll bring my best piece of BONG!

they are so beautifully decorated and it looks like it has a great atmosphere~ <3

  • ohmygawd. Cat Cafe!!! Korean cats. Nyahahaha.. XDD

  • wooo....i saw this on tv :))

  • Is it hygienic to drink coffee with cats?

  • @thexinfactor well people have cats at home so why not outdoors? I'm sure they are all potty trained.

  • I like he Korean shops with the little separate rooms

  • Why is that so many youtube partners use digital SLR's as video cameras instead of video cameras. Just seems strange to me, but must be a reason.

  • @eveningniteshade it's usually because the output is the simular quality to taking pictures, I saw a drama shot with a DSLR and it was beautiful.

  • @eveningniteshade size and lense are the reason for SLRs. And for a youtube video it is quite enough.

  • @eveningniteshade It's cuz a DSLR is all you really need for youtube. Youtube doesn't allow for ppl to post long lengthy videos and in terms of quality it doesn't lack compared to a video camera. If you are going for long lengthy videos, you should get a video camera but if you are doing short videos then there is no need to go for a video camera. And i'm sure the fact that you can take quality still shots on a dslr also helps with ppl using it instead of video cameras.

  • @eveningniteshade one very important difference i forgot to mention is that with DSLR it allows for a narrower depth of field (focus point) than a normal video camera, which allows for a video to seem more professional. This is one of the main reasons the DSLR is so popular.

  • it was so cute how the cat was giving the other cat a massage

  • 1:25 Is her name is Lua or is she a barista in cafe Lua

  • Hi!
