Even if a book is real word of God, what about alterations and misinterpretations of original texts that could be done throughout many centuries? Like it happened to Bible for example, it's really old but it's been changed a number of times. About proof, it is said about Quran too, that it's impossible to fake it because noone can create same verses, but if it's true then all other religious texts that disagree with it are lies. There cannot be different God. It still seems quite complicated.
@moonrice The fact that one's spiritual path has its scriptures in the original language, and have passed the test of not being changed is only key element. You can easily see that Bhagavad-gītā has been unchanged for many years, because there are many copies in India in different manuscripts. And they all match the poetic rules, etc. Now on top of that, there is also the living teacher, a lineage, etc. Very powerful guidelines to choose wisely. The Vedic way is cool because(continued)
@SpiritofDevotion You can in fact experience results very quickly, and see how accurate the teaching is. The right knowledge can change your life positively in very short time. There is no postdated check. Just a little faith to try out the process, and you'll see how powerful it is.
@SpiritofDevotion Can there exist more than one religions which are true but they are different in some ways? Are some just better than the others or some suit more to some people and some to others? It is not a proof that all other religions are wrong when we've found one we believe in? Because otherwise how can we dismiss everything else, that is full of contradictions? And what kind of results? What kind of life change?
@moonrice Definitely. According to different cultures and needs, there are many spiritual paths, they all have a certain degree of purity. According to that level of purity, that path can be considered authentic. Most paths only give a portion or introductory level spirituality. The Vedic Way offers the full perspective. In fact contradictions are just different points of view at different points in the path. An observer will describe a mountain differently according to his position.
@SpiritofDevotion About results, there are plenty. Life becomes so much more simple, one becomes peaceful and happy. Even physically one looks younger and more lively. And the best of all, one can experience pure love of God.
@SpiritofDevotion These results sound good. Did God really create all true religions? Was it done on purpose that each one says that only itself is true? I'm confused because monotheistic religions say that polytheism is satanic and lead away from God, Vedic Way has different view on it, doesn't it? Maybe it's because of my monotheistic background but it seems like a big contradiction.
@moonrice Yes. Originally. The problem is that most religions have been too distorted by man, and thus have lost their original potency. The Vedic Way is not the only true path, but its very very difficult to even match. I haven't found anything even close to be honest. But if I wanted, I could easily be christian, and still apply all the principles and achieve spiritual success. It’s the core principles that matter.
@SpiritofDevotion I agree that core principles are the same in major religions and that's what really matters but when you choose it then you must accept their conditions (that can't be neither proved nor disproved) without which your faith won't be considered real. That's the problem I have with some religions at least.
@moonrice Yes, I agree. Just accepting a set of rules without any scientific explanation is not very attractive. The Vedic Way is about a factual understanding of reality. When we live according to how things work, then life becomes so much easier.
@moonrice The Vedic Way is monotheistic too. There is only one God. By defintion, God can only be one person. The same person can be perceived differently according to the point of view, like a man can be seen as father, brother, husband. It all depends on who is looking. But God is only one.
@moonrice I have replied to this question in the video "Polytheism" posted today. Please look for it within the channel. I can't put the link for some reason its not working.

@SpiritofDevotion Actually is Vedic Way same thing as ISKCON or not?
moonrice 3 weeks ago
@moonrice No. It is very different, although they are coming from the same roots.
