  • its a tall order to fill in for the moon i for one think he did an ok job

  • INCREDIBLE that sums the WHO up in one word ! Thanks for posting

  • Cada vez cantas mejor Gran Roger..!!!!

  • fuckin townshend...he is ball and old....but....HE STILL FUCKINGGG ROCKINGG!!

  • You say Selena Gomez, I say Guns And Roses

You say Hannah Montana, I say KISS.

You say Owl City, I say Bon Jovi

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say Aerosmith.

You say Justin Bieber, I say Fuck You

95% of teens these days listen to the same formulaic, crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don't let rock n roll die!!

  • @matagringos99 No offence, but there was a time where people said similar things like this but AGAINST Bon Jovi, KISS and GnR. While they were considered fratboy pap in the grunge days (where Zep and Sabbath were the REAL classic rock bands) now they are being lumped in with the greats due to how bad everybody sucks today. Just sayin' I hope something so bad doesn't come along that makes us say "Back in my day we listened to good bands like the Beatles, the Who and Taylor Swift!"

  • @matagringos99 no dude dont post that shit here ,by doing that your keeping all those pop singers names going ,just ignore them and they will go away ,by doing this your spoiling the music of those gods on the screen above ,just saying .

  • that's not Zak starkey on drums

  • I get chills everytime I watch this. Fucking Incredible!

  • DAMM

  • live@id8 was shit

  • pete townsend old as fuck and still got it

  • i wonder how many pound(im talking about billion pound here) that the drummer pay pete townshend.. he do not deserve to be in that stage with the greatest band in the world!

  • @asifadio Steve White was good enough for the great Paul Weller for many years. He most definitely deserves to be on the stage with The Who. Whitey is a legend.

  • WOW at 3:50 i was shaking with the force that Pete belt's out that riff, brrrrrrilliant

  • Caramba!!! Isso é o verdadeiro rock! pena que nas gerações atuais a gente não vÊ mais isso! de qualquer forma, The Who arrebenta!

  • @matheussousawho hou je bek man, ik spreek helemaal geen vlaams

  • Thank You CSI

  • drummers good. but no whee near as good as moon

  • the who pissed on every other band that played that day

  • i'm not a fan from the who and i even don't know them - BUT WHAT THE FUCK they're fucking GREAT!!!!!!! the guitarist is amazing :D he punches the shit out of his guitar !!

    that's rock 'n roll !

  • @PfifDeluxe I bet you're a FAN Now....once they get in your soul you're at their mercy :)

  • They still got it ever since they started in 1963!! The Who are the greatest rock band of all time fucking legends! <3

  • it's really rough seeing The Who without Keith and John....

  • "Pete Townshend just evolved to Level 99"

  • Pete doesn't seem so old, he still has a lot of energy for a man at his age.

  • Who's the tool on drums?

  • I am only 26 and this is the only song I know good off hand from this band. Who are the people in the backround with the pictures on the screen?

  • Only pete would wear sunglasses at 9pm

  • TUUUUUNNNNNNEEEEEE!!! My god these guys were red hot that night!! seen them in marley park, dublin about 5 years ago and they were absolutely rocking!!! one of the best shows i was ever at!!

  • Why the acoustic guitar?

  • @Matthewtheitalian Nearly every song by the Who starting with the Tommy album started off with an acoustic guitar, with layers of other instruments being built up.

  • EPIC!!!

  • I saw this live! Yes i'm happy!

  • 6 fans of Rihanna.

  • A los 6 que no les gusta este vídeo, son los que no fueron amamantados cuando eran pequeños... ¿Got milk? jajajajaja XD

  • Zac Starkey was definitely the better choice for The Who since Moon.

  • vorrei sapere chi sono i 6 "non mi piace"!! Grandissimi...Mitici...IMMORTALI

  • @blackandproud75 Yeah, cause GB never had any colonies...really bright idea....

  • @blackandproud75 FUCK DAVID CAMERON U TWAT .

  • That's not Pino Palladino on bass

  • TOWNSHEND IS A FUCKING GOD ,I WORSHIP HIM

  • @bensimps123

Talk about owning a stage.... WOW!

  • fuck yes

  • thats steve white from the paul weller band on drums

  • @hytgggg @pedrobrinco too true, no Zakk Starkey there. Stevie White is technically a few steps above, but I like Zakk's work with The Who better

  • Man, I get chills everytime! This is Performance on a Higher level!

  • Pete & Robert = SuperMegaUltraHiperMasters!!!!

  • As an old NYC veteran of 26 WHO concerts I must comment that Pete on this version of WAY was simply agressive, brilliant and probably better than the Concert for NYC in 2001...

    LONG LIVE ROCK!

    LONG LIVE THE WHO!

  • That is NOT Pino on bass.

  • Damon Minchella on bass.

  • THis is not Zak Starkey he was away with Oasis at this time

  • Hardly "The Who" without Entwhistle and Moon

  • @

No "h" in Entwistle, but you're right.

  • pete townshend is a badman!

  • That is not Pino on bass.

  • roger daltrey is a fuckin badass!!! he still kicks so much more asses then most of the "modern" stars and he is waaay older....damn great!!!

  • Daltrey's voice may not be what it used to be, but he's been torturing himself for one of the best causes known to man for over 40 years now, so you know what, who gives a shit? They still sound incredible, and it's the WHO! Shame Entwistle and Keith Moon aren't still with us...

  • wrong zak starkey didnt play this gig it is Steve White who played with paul weller for a few years ..

  • wrong zak starkey did nit

  • Pity they only played the two songs - they should have got in Pinball Wizard and Behind Blue Eyes

  • Not Zak Starkey on drums and not Pino on bass.

  • SSC NApoli Badge on the marshall amp. Lo stemma dell' SSC napoli sull'amplificatore marshall

  • @floerk if you mean a new generation of shit like tinnie tempah and jls then no! rock is young and rock will always be young :)

  • Holy shit, i have a few The Who tunes but fuck me never looked them up live. Pino Palladino brought me here, the whole fucking set was tight as fuck though

  • Townshend doesn't "play" the guitar ... he wields it ... it's a fuckin' weapon in his hands .... Rock the fuck on, Pete ...

  • townsend is just fuckin brilliant!!!!

  • who ARE you 4 ppl!?!!?!?

  • GIVE THE CROUD A LINE OF COCAIN..COME ON!!!! WAKE UP

  • Such legends. You cannot beat the oldies, the sound is just so clean and different.

  • The Who or Zeppelin? oooooh :S

  • @DrGolfJam

The Who ... more musically diverse, creative, and they're music was 99% wholly original ... not like Zep's first two albums, which are largely covers, and in other cases, totally derivative of someone else ( not to mention, getting sued twice for plagiarism ) ...

  • Damn !!!!

  • watch?v=46CNp89_52Y

  • How can you even dislike this video?

  • @jacko1014 Because they are deft

  • Comment removed

  • IT IS NOT PINO ON THE BASS!

  • @alittleinbetween

If it's not Pino, then what's his name?

  • @Guitarscreech06 Not sure, I'm trying to find out for you, but not having much luck.

  • Comment removed

  • @Guitarscreech06 He is called Damon Minchella & the drummer wasn't Zak Starkey it was Steve White, only for the Live 8 concert, any other time Pino and Zak would of been there playing :)

  • 0:05 "Yes, I'm God, so what?????"

  • Simon cowell this is music so take note !

  • who is the drummer? he sounds good but the song sounds a bit in comparison to what Moon (and later Starkey) played..

  • @who27moon Don't know his name, but he's the drummer from Oasis. Lucky bugger!

  • Im amazed that Townshend can still do the Pinwheel. Awesome!

  • 1. I saw George Busch in the background

    2. Roger looks like Will Ferrell and Harrison Ford's child

  • This is an incredible preformance, but for me, this is not the Who.

The Who was Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, and John Entwistle.

  • lol love the way pete beats the shyt out of his guitar while he plays it. Love the who.

  • Watch and learn.....This is how you do it!

  • drummer is steve white, not zak starkey and the bassist is damon minchella,

  • they still got it!

  • Townshend is god

  • This is what rock music is. Pay attention!

  • R.I.P KEITH MOON

  • Damon Minchella and Steve White from Weller's band are interesting choices.

  • Steve White- what a fuckin drummer!!!!

  • Does Roger's acoustic actually do anything?

  • @zedleppelin132

Gives him something to do with his hands?

It wasn't necessary, as you probably agree.

  • im seeing them live in 2011! cant fuckin' wait!

  • and when the rap fags are all dead and gone everybody will still remember the who!!

  • @MeisterLeuchte you beat

  • @MeisterLeuchte your comment should be in the bible

  • imagine being 60+ and still being better than 99% of the wanabes.....i dont believe in god, but someone had to create the who!

  • @stonersid only 99%?

  • Right ON!! They are immortal.

  • This performance is absolutely fucking awesome!!!

  • what is the extra knob om pete's guitar?

  • @MetalMuffMan the multiple levels of awesome - obviously on full all the time! :)

  • the 3 people who don't like this can FUCK OFF!

  • R.I.P Keith....

  • I really want to know who the three trolls are who don't like this. >8(

  • hmmmmm i cant help but wonder what type of concert live 8 would have been with keith and john still alive and playing today

  • thats not Zak Starkey on drums. on that night he was playing with oasis at the city of manchester stadium. i was there in manchester at the time

  • Pete Townshend is awesome! 'Nuff said!

  • My godddddddddd.... i can't write anything else.... I'm fuckin' blocked.......

  • thats steve white playing drums, he's a great drummer but he sounds shit hear!

  • who brings a single bass drum 2 a who show sort it !

  • @dubhuggi

I couldn't even get used to seeing Kenney Jones' drum set with a single bass drum. It just doesn't look natural in a Who show post 1967.

  • I've seen this concert live!!! Simply awesome!!!

  • un clásico..... uuuuuuuuwwwwuaaaaaa!!!! jejejejejej

  • Definitely not Mr. Palladino on bass.

  • il never forget this performance the who simply untouchable!!!like steve whites drumming at 3 20 onwards!!!

  • il never forget this performance the who simply untouchable!!!like steve whites drumming at 3 20 onwards!!!

  • its really not the same without john entwistle on bass

  • @geofffrank .....everybody agrees with you....there were bass players and then there was john....truly in a class by himself.....but i'm sure you agree the who are not exactly dragging the band thru the mud.....

  • @nyc1rob meh, they were epic when i saw them a few years ago, but definitely missing something on bass, drums didnt seem to good either, i may be wrong but for some reason i dont think thats starky

  • @geofffrank

I try to accept his replacement for who he is, but I have a hard time accepting Pete and Roger as The Who without Moon and Entwistle. Still like them, though.

  • Zak's the spittin image of his daddy!

  • Who are you!!!!

  • Pino's bass holds it all together...give it some guts.

  • @jelswick2 Eeek! Alas tis not Pino but Damon Minchella on bass. Pino was in Japan with Jeff Beck & Zak in Manchester with Oasis

  • Roger Daltrey is still so sexy after all these years.

  • Fucking incredible...

  • @bluesage10 Fuck yeah man!!

  • You forgot Simon Townshend, also on guitar.

  • is tht a fender or a shecter? theres an extra knob

  • @crackdown235 fender stratocaster... just he added an extra volume knob there. actually an eric clapton signature model

  • nzostarr wake up dude steve white the greatest drummer in the world u think he got this gig by accident. zac starkey cant touch this guy u dont know shit but u like starkey's name ignorant!

  • @harporocco Steve White is the GREATEST? You honestly can't think of anyone who plays better or at least as well? Seriously? Free your mind. You're missing out on a whole world of great drumming.

  • just fyi, thats not zak on the drums. i much would have preferred to have heard zak on this song tho, this guy just doesnt have the right feel for the who's songs

  • Roger daltrey can really belt out this song. RIP KEITH AND JOHN

  • Who the Fuck Are You

    THE WHO ROCKS FROM BRAZIL

  • thats not zak on drums its steve white, and the 'bassist' is damon minchella, almost as piss poor as pino but not quite, nice guitar from petes brother simon though

  • 0:45 epic jump

  • Great vid, great song! And Zak Starkey is an excellent drummer. (And Keith Moon too!)

  • Is there anythinh cooler the Pete"s windmill?

  • hey guys! who wants to see old guys play godly rock? i do you do? i know i want to, and i bet a bunch of old, 62- year old men and women could beat the crap of the new rock bands and singers these days!

  • anyone knows what is that extra knob in pete's guitar?

  • @nitsugag Could be one of a few things but i'm guessing its like a push/pull pot that puts the pick-ups out of phase.
