Also in Brutal Death Metal, their is the usage of the breakdown more than in regular death metal(or Slams in other cases). Brutal Death Metal is infact a genre, its pretty easy to distinguish it. Death Metal doesnt have to be brutal, Tales From the Thousand Lakes by Amorphis is a good example.
