I remember watching Albert asking Craig about the term, hum baby, in 87. In those days I rarely watched National League regular season ball so this championship series was like having an entirely new universe open before me. I loved Terry Peddleton in this series. He made the most beautiful throw from deep behind third base; it was a laser to first.
I still get a chuckle at Will Clarks rant when they won they won the West in '87, I'm gonna say the same thing if the GIants win it all this year. I wish Gary Park could have lived to see this.
My favorite sports team ever along with my favorite player of all time Will Clark.
I went to all 3 playoff games at the stick, but I'm still haunted by not scoring a run in games 6 or 7 in St. Louis, with Maldonado's ill fated slide catch attempt that led to a 3 bagger, & the only run in a 1-0 loss in game six.
We had Leonard as series MVP with 4 homers & his one flap down, trot, and Krukow's complete game win...
I strongly believe the Giants would have beaten the Twins.
That was a very good Giants team that probably should've beat the Cardinals in the 87 NLCS. They had much better hitting overall then the Cardinals & they also had good Pitching & Defense.

Joe Morgan provided so little intelligent content during his colour-man career that I often wished someone would just pull the plug on his mike.

The 87 Giants were a very good team that came up short and I think they would've beaten the Twins in that World Series

Typical sour response from a man named "Whitey".

@cbaldwinjr I loved Herzog as a manager, but how incredibly thin-skinned would you have to be not to take a joke like that good-naturedly?
