Bit over the top for a few cows isn't it? I can understand how the rescue services might see this as a good opportunity for a training exercise but why four fire engines? What if there was a real emergency elsewhere and someone got hurt or worse because all the nearby fire crews were busy pulling a few old heifers out of the mud? Well, at least it provided the local rag with a few inches on a slow news day I suppose...
