Thanks for doing this video. I am on day 49 of my 56 day juice fast posting a daily video on youtube and am looking for transitioning tips and this is how I found your video. Some very good points about overeating and eating what you have built up to be something nice but really is not healthy. This has been helpful for me and I will be taking extra care to slowly transition back to solid food. Appreciate it!
@overwhelmingtraffic Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Congratulations on your juice feasting! I'm glad you found my video helpful. I wish you health and vitality.:)
I can see it right now: "Juice feasting made me bulimic. I am suing the creator of juice feasting, for all those other victims out there. Show me the money!"
@bigpinkears I see. :) John Stossel would jump all over the opportunity to make it seem like juice feasting causes bulimia. :) Have you seen that 20/20 he did a while back which made it seem like all raw vegans had a life threatening eating disorder?
"...I'm just really sensative to the taste of salt."
Yeah I am that way too after I don't have anything with salt content for two weeks. Your no longer used to having that in your mouth, your taste buds have already become accustomed to your new diet. I have to agree with your "getting rid of" those beans. It was a bad idea to try that the first day back, considering your stomach probably shrunk a whooooole lot while on the feast.
I was wondering maybe you have blodgrupp type O their stomach is very acidic and do better with consuming meat. I have a friend who can not go raw because it upsets her stomach too much she is a type O.
@UMAbabe I don't know my blood type but it's worth looking into. I won't eat ,meat regardless, and most protein foods upset my stomach. I will try to find out my blood type and read up on it. Thanks for your suggestion.
I wasn't sick when I started juice feasting but I used to have severe chronic fatigue and I have never fully recovered. I just wanted to see if a cleanse would help me feel better in general. Thanks for watching. :)
There are some who advocate that animal foods are required to heal chronic fatigue. At least organic grass fed eggs and raw dairy. The protein is apparently very healing for the adrenals and thyroid.
Thanks for your suggestion. You can get lots of protein from plant based foods, and they are easier for the human body to convert to usable people protein. I have started eating quinoa and it seems to be helping a lot. Thanks for watching and for your advice. :)
alexis! you live in California? I used to live near fountain valley (huntington beach). I will definitely try Au Lac in the near future when I'm finished with my juice fast.
This is why I don't juce feast/fast. I think we should keep the fiber moving through the intestenes. Otherwise, the person gets sick, tired and ravished, then breaks the feast wrong, doing more harm than good.
I can see why you got into 80/10/10. It's so natural....a win/win situation. Some days I only eat fruit(like yesterday). I'm also losing my taste for veg juice, but never tire of fruit.
I agree. I do MUCH better on green smoothies. Next time I do a cleanse, I will just have water and green smoothies with lotos of bananas to keep the bowels moving. Have a great night! :)
constipation, a big grapefruit. eat the pulp & don't chew it too much. it goes through you easier and grabs some unwanted stuff on the way. I suffered from chronic constipation for years and recently i eat a grapefruit before i go to bed and now i go 1-2 times a day.
That sounds good. I just moved to another state and have been eating cooked food during the transition. It makes me feel sluggish and depressed, but it is comforting at first.
Agreed with what Alexis said. If you watch all of her videos you'll find that she does end up explaining everything because she's documenting her journey. And I second the fact that you want to be an ass. In my own experience going raw, it's been something very spiritual and spirit-mind-body uniting.
I've been trying to find Raw Fu on myspace and cannot... I can relate to your youtube videos so much. I am also attempting to go raw... but also, attempting to go veggie... it's very hard. But I also recently had a hydrotherapy colonic and it's also supporting my detox. My experience with colonics was fine. I'd encourage you to do it just because. There are some videos on youtube that show the experience live. Good luck in your food transformation!
grey, Congratulations on taking huge steps to improve your health and your life! That's awesome. Raw fu is not on myspace. It's on ning. I can't post links here, but if you google "raw fu" you will find it. The current challenge is closed byut the next one is starting in December. There is also a "little black dress" challenge going on. Check my recently favorited videos for one about that. I have a link to raw fu in my most recent videos too. Good luck :)
Well, it happens on lot of levels. When you truly nurture yourself by eating only foods that nourish, you show your body, and your SELF that you care and respect yourself. You begin to really appreciate just how amazing and miraculous the human body, mind and spirit are, and you tap into who you really are (not just how you look or what people think of you). It's hard to explain in words, but if you go raw, you will understand.
I wasn't always thin. I used to be a compulsive overeater. I wasn't "fat", but I was certainly overweight, unhealthy and very, very miserable. Have you heard of Raw Fu? It's a community of people who are all transitioning to the raw food lifestyle. It's a great way to shed excess weight, but more importantly, a perfect way to improve every aspect of your life, including self esteem issues. They are starting a new 100 day challenge soon. Membership is free.
no need to be ashamed. when the burrito didn't taste good, thats because your body becomes sensitive when you fast. since you ate it, vomiting wasn't a bad idea. its better to drink large amounts of fluids before you do it though
thank you for bringing that to my attention. if you want to be sure to see my videos when they come out, please subscribe. That way they will show up on your subscriptions page.

i'm considering having a colonic too...i've been watching your videos again to help me prepare to an anticipated juice feast myself...
again and always -- thanks for the helpful info!!

I talked myself out of colonics again. My system seems to be working so much more efficiently now than before and I feel it has self-corrected.
