@fonzy192 Use a bow, it's quite easy - just takes ages. If you get on a ledge you can dick him and he can't touch you XD

@fonzy192 That's good as Tigrex is weak against thunder. First time I killed it I used the "hunter's power bow" I think. It's the one made out of Basarios materials and has +10 defence. Takes a LOT of patience but it's definitely do-able. After I got enough Tigrex materials I made the Tigrex bow though, and now 2/3 times I'll best the beast! Though still not every time! I don't think you can ever be sure of beating a Tigrex or Elder Dragon on your own, you just have to keep trying bud =/

@Zynoxicify If you're are good with a long sword, that will suffice. Also, you can try to create the Khezu shock sword; that one is solid as well.

I used to play PSP Monster Hunter, but lost my PSP, now I'm stuck with Monster Hunter Tri, and I miss my bows!! My tag was Artemis, and I was famous in my school's hunting tribe as hunting only with bows. I was the first one to solo a G-rank Tigrex using only a bow and no armor. Now I'm left without my bow? try the bow from rathian on second level its pretty good but, i have a same problem i have bow and long sword from tigrex and it can t repel that shen .You can try the diablos armor they have a adrenalin +2

I'm HR Rank 6, but the first Shen Gao Ren and Lao Shan Lung i have completed was through online play, but now i'm having trouble with finding a way to kill, or repell, it. but do you have any advice which bow is good for HR 6? I currently got a Ceanataur armor for Pierce, and i have pierceS up decorations on it. But now i just need to find a good bow, but, the most expensive bow right now is Tigrex Whisker, help? I want to use against normal monsters too! ty
