  • get a chevy blazer :)

  • oh yes no matter how much grip the vehicle can provide at the end tires are the only contact with the ground, congratulations for your perfect choice of tires, yes indeed blizzaks are great.the only second choice after this one is nexen EUROWIN for ice and snow only.but again blizzaks are the best.

  • deep snow my ass

  • Get a Honda CRV 4wd

  • it looks odd without the spare tyre at the back.

  • this is the GRAND sportage,it comes with a longer trunk and much more options ,so since it has a longer trunk the spare tire comes inside under the trunk carpet.

  • where can you get a kia grand sportage?i get an average of 23mpg. when the 4x4 works, it can pass just about every other vehicle in the snow. it has as much ground clearance as a grand cherokee or blazer. only thing is the 4x4 is not like a normal system. both front and rear differentials lock and the transfer case is a 50/50 split all time. look on here for sportage in snow and watch one drive through 30" deep.

  • first of all thank you for your message, and also i like your knowledge in mechanics... you're right in everything you said here. now about where can we find a GRAND sportage? my country of origin (Lebanon) and europe it's easy to find one,but now i moved to Canada, and there are no GRAND sportage and they even don't know about it.

  • That ain't no Jeep.

  • I never used the brand name "Jeep" in my text if it's what you mean. But if you meant that it is not capable, just look at my other video of the JEEP that was stuck in the same road and I had to pull it with the Kia,you can see the cable still attached.Anyway i'm not making any advertisement.

  • Don't get me wrong, I own a 2008 Sportage and I love it but it is not a Jeep when it comes to snow. Look at the youtube video entitled "Jeep Commander Snow". That's a Jeep.

  • Does it take alot of fuel ?

How much fuel does it wants on a 10km trip on the summer ? (no snow)

  • on roads of my country, it takes about 1.17liters/10km, i have the grand sportage which has long chasis and trunk, and it is automatic.

  • don't worry i won't get you wrong.i understand what you mean, sportage 2008 basically is like grand cherokee 2006 in my video,it has alltime all wheel drive.but sportage has an option of central diff lock that help a lot. while the sportage before year 2004 used to have dual range 4x4 so you have a real offroader with high and low and central diff lock, plus option on some models rear limited slip diff. in these cases "old" sportage are very good in snow and anywhere where traction is difficult.

  • @Maxwedge12000

This Sportage is much more capable than yours is.

Completely different generation with TRUE 4WD system.

  • @sleeksilver I don't doubt that. But going from always owning 2 wheel drive to the new "4 wheel drive" or " all wheel drive" is a big improvement to me. I have never driven a true 4wd where all the tires are turning no matter what.

  • @Maxwedge12000 on roads allwheel drive are very 'nice' to drive with the much more extra grip than a 2 wheel drive, and when conditions become more critical all 4 wheel will help get some more traction and maybe stability, but in severe and tough conditions reall 4x4 is the best coz you have some diffrential locks, you know what that means. but the down side of this one is that on roads it feels like you're driving a big rock and it uses more fuel, unless you can disengage one of the diffrentials

  • @jungleguybest Well seeing I don't go off roading (at least never intentionally) the new 4wd will suffice. What I did learn with my new sportage is that 4wd, anti lock brakes, electronic stability control and traction control do not work with the shitty tires they come with. I bought a set of Blizzak snow tires and man what a difference.
