I think Vivian has alot of potential to become a mega superstar in taiwan. Unfortunately, she was born too early & entered the entertainment scene at a time when Taiwanese homegrown singers were not so popular but overshadowed by the HK celebrities. If she had entered the last few years with her younger days' look, she'll be more famous than Jolin Tsai now.
You're saying Vivian is 'unfortunately' old. I grew up with Vivien era and to me she's bigger than Jolin. She acted, sang and wrote songs for Jay Chou.
Jolin being 'popular' in YOUR generation do not mean another artist is not. As you well know, the older generation of artists have always lead roads to younger artist now. Without the older artist help, younger artist is nothing. Any artist can look good and sing but the unique ones like Vivien, have brain, beauty & her own style.

Yea i agree with what you have said about the host is not very good about his mandarin, but as a host from Hong Kong, he is very good already. I've seen so many of them who cannot even speak mandarin and they made funny jokes.
It's true so many HKnese are ugly but I don't want a baby with a DAI LOK MUI.

actually, it's a hong kong show. they're only speaking mandarin because vivian can't speak cantonese very well. i'm still her fan though!
