  • This commercial / promo was actually quite good It's kind of a shame that the History Channel, A & E, Discovery & others feel the need to pad their programming w / reality show programming.

  • "Did they have to club their food?"

    HaHaha

    Chrome mag-non

    HaHaHa

  • Imagine how much it would cost to put this on the super bowl. LONG commercial yo

  • yeah fight the system man

  • jim...carrey...??

  • "They also invented inventing"

  • this is truely bueaty and the beast

  • "Teaching history and impressing women. So easy..."

  • These caveman commercials are hilarious

  • I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!

  • Do you like Diamonds!???!!!!! Hilarious!!!!

  • He reminds me of Jim Carrey

  • I'm getting an undertone some sort of allusion to prejudice in American society.

  • this is the best geico caveman commercial ever!!!

  • The caveman tv series had such potential. Social commentary. The many issues of our time. "Remember All in the Family"? I think this 3 minute clip shows that. Too bad.

  • @mrtadreamer It had alot of potential, but it failed because they didn't bring in the original actors + the writing wasn't as good. it should have been more like this commerical.

  • @djmixmac So right. The writing wasn't the way it should have been as you say, along with the actors. I think in the tv series they should have done away with the "gee-wiz thing and focused on the cavemen learning to deal with the prejudice facing them. In the commercials they hadn't begun to learn to do that, but in the History Channel spot they were intelligently doing so. I think also the tv show would have given them time to grow and mature personally so as not the be so PO'd all the time.

  • I'll have the roasted duck with the mango salsa

  • the show failed cuz this cavedue wasn't in show. he's the one. the original. we want him in the series. "No thank's, Ive lost my appetite"

  • "They invented invented" Hilarious!

  • That's why the the sitcom failed. There just wasn't enough of the arrogant attitude. I just love every one of these caveman commercials.

  • To Jaleeljohanson62...............Okay. I'll "raise my own game". Whatever that means. Instead of shooting my hot load of liquid love in your daddy's face after my routine weekly-fucking-him-in-his-ass, Instead I'll blow my load up over his head. Slap your mother for giving birth to you. They kill yourself.

  • I'm pretty sure that even a caveman can understand what it means to raise one's game. A moron? Apparently not.. LOL

  • finally a gieco caveman commercial with a happy ending

  • Geico sucks. I called them for insurance for my car. They wouldn't help me because my credit rating was not so good and they wanted to sell me other insurance, for example.....home insurance, and other insurances in one big package. I told the clerk on the phone to drop dead and I hung up. Those fucking Geico commercials are always playing somewhere. Fuck Geico.

  • that was not very nice to tell her to drop dead. But we need people to insure under Geico so we can keep getting these commercials

  • So what you're saying is you couldn't do something so easy a caveman could do it?

  • Sounds to me like you suck? Why don't you quit pissing and moaning and start raising your own game?

  • That caveman has to be John Malkovich

  • he has the same voice and the same eyes, the same way of speaking. I was convinced its him even before seeing your comment.

  • The caveman is Jeff Daniel Phillips. Google him to get website that shows Geico ads he's in + watch vid of makeup being put on him.

  • nope.

"Maurice" on the TV series. Jeffrey Daniel Phillips.

  • To dumb

  • one white girl gets it

  • thay should make a movie about him

  • Omg i would watch that lol

  • very funny at 2:12, it makes this whole video worth it

  • ROFL..... invented inventing lolollolololololololololollllololololololololol

  • Judging by some of these comments. The caveman is still smarter. Great commercial.

  • For real. At least he actually had an interest in his world. heh heh

  • wow i just finish seen this on the history channel, this is so cool they should do more of these.truly loved it, looks like they are expanding the story more.god i cant wait to see the next one

  • Shit he needs to chill out!

  • The only caveman ad I actually enjoyed..

  • their all good. never seen one I didn't like. that includes the tv series

  • LOL!! He's always pissed off!

  • he's not, people piss him off with there comments, didnt u see him he was calm until those guys made fun of him lol poor caveguy :3

  • Man I miss the show they used to have :(

  • me too

  • Caveman gettin' payback!

  • I thought this commercial had just been released when I saw it on History Channel a few days ago. Didn't realize it came out last year. It was so great.

  • im so easily amused by this lol

  • simple,yet very brilliant

  • is it just me or that caveman talks a little bit like john malkovich?

  • bingo

This ad is a riot "

    "The LOOOOOUVE"

    "They also invented inventing"--

    sidesplitting

  • i love this

  • Funny.

I wonder if it's a coincidence that one of the wise-asses looks like Pauly Shore, of "Encino Man" fame.

  • So weird. I just happend to be watching the History channel as I saw this on youtube.

  • IM so he is in with the history channel now its funny yet very educational when you think of it.

  • Its really cool,he owns everyone...yet they still keep being ignorant, and the sad part is that ppl really are like that lol

  • What is that background beat?

  • lol

  • This guy's smooth.

  • guy is a huge pimp.

  • "Why should we listen to you?"

"Because I spent two whole saturdays of my free time to learn how to do this."

  • oh.. he got laid that night ^_^

  • i think u wasted 40 years

  • i feel like him sometimes! people are you know whatever.

  • What is that background beat from?

  • What is that background beat from?

  • that's john malkovich

  • IT IS?!?!?! :D

  • I believe so! His intonation and gestures are the same.

  • Are you serious!

  • I'm pretty sure, if it isn't I would be very surprised

  • It actually does sound like John Malkovich after hearing it again. He's good.

  • they invented inventing lol great line

  • I wish i worked at The Martain ad agency I think these are some great ad's.

" do you hv to club your food? lol

  • Jeffrey Daniel Phillips is indeed both the Caveman in the Geico Commericals and was Maurice in the Cavemen TV Series. Check it out on IMDb

  • You told them.

  • Funny and true at the same time ^_^

  • It ran for a short time in like... may or something, I think.

  • you tell them Caveman. I love those Cavemen ads.

  • ha..i saw this on t.v. on the histoy channel it was funny i love it the best yet.

  • This is probably the best commercial ever made!

  • I think that this is Jeffrey Daniel Phillips, his voice sounds just like Maurice from the Cavemen series when he mentions the diamond exhibit. - There is not much chance of the series coming back, they sold off the entire contents of the sets. I know who owns the large painting from the Cavemen condo living room wall. - I loved the show, but the only hope is for all twelve episodes to be released on DVD. I still watch the original six every week and they get better every time I see them.

  • I wish I'd have known about the auction, I'd really love to own something from the show. I wish ABC would release the show on DVD. I've been watching those same six episodes, and craving to see the rest. Australia supposedly played all 13, luck them!

  • yaa thats right and they were on so late it was annoying!! but the show was a real hit!! And i Loved it!! man i wish it would come out on dvd too!! or a torrent!!

  • Does anyone know what show was playing when this commercial FIRST aired?? I think it was Axe Men, but I'm not sure....

  • History in the making with this wonderful creative commercial. Just goes to show you how rude real morons can be. Love the actors they all played their parts PERFECTLY! Always loved the Cavemen in all the commercials. The actor in this one showed such passion and the script was right on the mark about History! Hope they make more, this is a great learning tool and not just a commercial. :)

  • ...what a pimp...

  • Haha, I saw this on TV and I loved it!! I always think Geico's commercial are creative and innovative, using different ways to convery their message than conventional commercials. Not as great as a jingle (in my opinion), but still memmorable.

  • Geico commercials: Serious Business.

  • I like this guy, he lays it out for the mendicants and jibes them at the same time. I also like his on the show, I want ABC to bring them back. I laugh my a55 off at this stuff.

  • yea, I miss that show. I don't care what the critics say, it was a good show

  • yeah but do u realize that they are not the same cavemen as on the show? i think that show would have last if they used the original ones from the commercial

  • I agree. Only if they made it like the trailer into a tv show it could have been a hit. That why we fell in love of those ads in the first places.

  • john malkovic!

  • Love this commerical!

  • This spot looks great. Really well written.

  • why?

  • How does a caveman and some pretty lady going out represent History channel and Geico teaming up?? They also barely know each other and suddenly they're in love! This commercial is just so unrealistic, aside from the fact that there's a caveman, and it's waaay overacted.

  • uhhh.... wait you're calling the commercial on an end bit? The last few seconds are about how at least one person was interested and took to heart something new that was learned. The history channel and Geico teamed up to help show that you should try and learn new things. Nothing unrealistic about it except for the Geico joke about the caveman.

  • What they're trying to convey, "The history channel and Geico teaming up to help show that you should try and learn new things",

is not the dumb part of the commercial. It's dumb because of the unrealistic (again, besides the caveman) way that it is presented. I guess I should have specified that, and that it's mainly the acting, and the script that's pretty lame. Not the idea.

  • yeah I suppose, but that's where the Geico bit comes in. If you just had a commercial about a normal guy talking it wouldn't have been as effected. Plus the caveman thing is something most people know about so it helps people pay attention to the meaning of the commercial since they listen to what he's saying

  • Yeah, I forgot that this IS Geico we're talking about...

  • Overall I think that the combination of information with a figure you're entertained by with the addition of showing that that amongst ignorant people there's hope of one good person, I think they did rather well in making the commercial.

  • Yes yes. What they're trying to convey is a very good message, and I see how what you said, "amongst ignorant people there's hope of one good person" is shown in this commercial. The part I mostly find stupid is how that the moral doesn't represent History channel and Geico teaming up at all.

  • Guess maybe that's how they teamed up, to try and encourage people to learn something from a reliable source instead of only relying on mainstream media. As I see it, History Channel was able to use the caveman gag to show a character and point. Geico got advertisement out of it and were probably happy to lend a hand in the matter.

  • Eh, whatever. I don't really care how anyone else looks at it.

  • Fair enough

  • This guy is the best caveman ever. I believe he's Max from the series. In real life Jeffrey Daniel Phillips. Cavemen rock! Sorry, I just had to do that.

  • if the writer of this comercial wrote the TV show it would have been gret
