Did you imagine Casey as a boy or a girl? I imagined him as a boy, and he still is a boy to me. Just that the puppet's gender was never officially stated though Casey is frequently thought to be a boy. It was done that way so children of either sex could relate to the puppet, and the puppet could be whatever the young viewers believed it to be. Feel free to reply to my comment and tell me what you gender you imagined Casey as.
remember watching these ALL THE TIME. man i was young. most episodes were great, and if you were REALLY lucky, the owl in the painting would talk and his eyes would move, it was very rare, i hoped for it though.
@Irishstew97 FINALLY! someone else who loved the sound of those scissors cutting! Mr Dressup had amazing paper or scissors or something - they made the BEST sound!
I remember this episode. I learned how to make so many crafts from him. What has happened to childrens shows these days, they aren't even close to being as wonderful and memory building as this.
I loved mr.dress up... I lvoed when he went into his chest and got out fun clothes lol.. I'd pretend to do it too haha. And his arts and crafts <3 It's sad kids today don't have shows like this anymore and the other one something special? and under the umbrella tree? and all those other good ones haha
This actually warms my heart. I'm 22 now and cant remember a thing about Mr. Dressup. until I watch it. And it floods back into my head. It makes me sad for the current generations that dont have Mr. Dressup, or what was the other show about a giant? Good stuff.
Is there anything this man can't do, kids need more educational television, something that stimulates their creativity, and still keeps them in reality. Not like that U-Gi-O shit or Pokemon.
wow did you really need to comment on that. I had forgotten that comment and woulda never remembered it if you weren't a fag. Mr, Dressup is a god. Fuck you.
Although you personally have no idea what he intended, there are no little kids watching him anymore. The only people who would watch would be people like us who are old enough to remember him when he was alive.
God, do I miss this guy! I watched this show all the time when I was a kid. He was so nice! Even my mother watched this! I loved his crafts and his "story time".
I'm trying to remember who did that crazy song, it was called "Interview With Mr. Dressup" or something like that. Was it Arrogant Worms? Only heard it once but it had me LMFAO.
Casey sounds like Victoria Jackson.

Such nostalgia. It's such a shame that kid's shows now are pure drivel compared to the classics like Mr. Dressup and Fred Penner's Place.
RorerQuaalude714 2 months ago
And however, on at least one episode, Mr. Dressup has referred to Casey as "He".

Although Mr Dressup Passed Away I Think They Should Still Run His Shows.

Nothing on TV today for kids even comes close to the Mr. Dressup, Friendly Giant, classic Sesame Street shows of yesteryear... not even close.

asdfasmfnasdflasjkf 2 years ago
well i dunno you seem to be relating bongs to Mr. Dressup which is kinda disrespectful...
Sabin1337 2 years ago
How is it disrespectful. A bong is an object and it appears very close visually to what a bong is.
asdfasmfnasdflasjkf 2 years ago
well your relating something meant for little kids interest with drugs, which is far from what mr. dressup intended
