Blu-Ray doesn't even support 1/5 of a terabyte. It only supports 25GB single layer & 50GB dual layer. 1 terabyte = 1024GB or 20 dual layer high capacity Blu-Ray movies. I dont think 1 terabyte would be possible even if they increased the size of the compact disc by 1 inch, rendering it no longer a "COMPAC DISC" and still not acomplishing a 1 terabyte Blu-Ray disc. At the same time, what is the point of such a large disc? The disc would hold an enormous amout of HD content. HOURS & HOURS worth.

You do know the movies have to be FILMED in HD. Predator was filmed in 1987, and Reservoir Dogs was filmed in 1992. They're not going to look any better than they already are, maybe a bit clearer than their previous formats but that's it.

As for you, subtalvik, you overlooked the point. Before the victor, Sony had what was seemingly an overpriced system with no games, and maybe even an out of date player in a few years. That seriously hurt them. We have yet to see if it will pay off.

Well to me it doesn't make sense, everything about Blu-Ray is wrong, for example, its more difficult to programme, more expensive to produce, needs a hard coating so it doesn't get scratched, and apparently the picture cropping is out of place, compared to HD-DVD. They run on the same technology the only difference is the DISC CAPACITY SIZE. HD DVD BLU RAY BOTH USE BLU-RAY DIODES. TOSHIBA CALLS IT HD DVD CAUSE THATS WHAT ALL THE TECHNOLOGIES IN TVS ARE HDTV. SONY CALLS IT BLU-RAY CAUSE OF THE DISC FORMAT PS3 AND THE BLU-RAY DIODES.
