@that1guyization well not quite dell but pretty close. Just about any computer made in China and Taiwan is made by foxconn, and the building that all Apple products are made is the same building where ASUS computers are made.

@that1guyization Same parts. Its the parts that make dells crap, not the software. So Mac takes dell computer parts (thus Dell computers) and puts in their Linux bios, and their OS, marks it up well over 300%, and sells it to the end user. Its not made up, if its dell parts, made in the factory dells are made, its a Dell computer.

I wouldn't accept a dell that was handed to me, so why would I pay over 300% more for the same hardware? Mac OS is fine, its the computers that are trash.

@hekiryuu1 Apple doesnt take Dell parts. The hardware is built in the same factory but Foxconn has to meet different standards for apple then it does for Dell. And considering the average life of a mac is 3.5 years and the average life of a dell is just 2, I'd say Apples standards are higher.

@that1guyization Interestingly all the consumer reports that I've found not on apple's website (a biased website) says massive failures (like total replacement of the hard disk) happens around year 2 or 3. Being as a work in a building that uses macs almost exclusively, and working the tech desk for said company, I know how often they fail. Most have used up their replacement warranty within 2 years (which is based on number of parts or cost of replacements, whichever comes first).

@that1guyization why is it 2 years for a dell computer. I have a noname notebook, from a company that doesnt exist anymore. It's getting 5 years old and the company standards were below zero. And i have 2 other computers one over 10 years and the other over 6 years. They run almost every day and i often kick against them, if they are slow. So how could a high end computer have only 2 years of life. Explain me please, i dont understand, seriously.

On the contrary, the BSOD can sometimes take up to 30 seconds to do a full memory dump before a restart, and sometimes BSOD doesn't give you any option to shutdown at all and will stick until you force power off you're machine. If you're going to slam on an OS, please do so intelligently. (if you Mac fanboys think you can)

Personally I don't see how anyone could say "Mac is better" or "PC is better". It is, and always will be, opinion.

Vista is not horrible. Mac is just saying that becuase it had a few minor flaws at its release. And there is an HP that can cost $6k that i think can frickin run vista then a crappy mac :)

thats because its a dell. run vista on a toshiba laptop and you will see a great difference between heats.

dells were created to be cheap and affordable without consideration to the basics that people need. I have a dell and yes it overheats and yes i cant stand it. but until i can afford a better computer(ie toshiba, etc) i have to stick with this one
