@LZROCKER100 Here's the deal. In 69, Zep toured with Spirit (Check out the 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus). Spirit has a song called "Taurus". Some of it sounds like Stairway. So, they took a germ of an idea from another song and turned it into arguably the greatest rock and roll song ever recorded. Are you pissed off that George Harrison stole "My Sweet Lord" from "He's So Fine". That's WAY more blatant of a rip off. It happens. Get over it.

@zepdawg1234 no both were based on davey grahams cry me a river and thats the initial inspiration.spirit never gets blamed for it too its bs.look it up online page even admits he got inspiration from cry me a river (davey graham).the opening riff is in that song in the beginning and end..it was a very common riff at that time actually and in reality just wasnt too original but it wasnt stolen.a common riff page made beautiful with help from jpj and added an ascending melody. the mighty zeppelin!

say what you want but one of the things i admire the zeppelins for is that they had the class and decency to stop and split at the height of their abilities and fame, when it was the right moment to do so, and only did this smashing one-hit reunion gig to show they still have it in them completely. They could have easily continue milking the money making machine forever and become another pathetic group of 70 years old dyed rockers like so many others. I love that they didnt and they moved on.
