A while ago I was curious and went onto an Acheivement server, expecting the same as @MrRocker720 , But got the same, and I got most Acheivements and Milestones, but now I feel terrible. :(

Heavy achievement maps are the most annoying. Once a noob gets in as a heavy, he starts spawn killing people and shit. Believe me, MOST of them aren't really aiming for the achievements....

Now if the engy update comes out... oh boy... sentry spawn kills. Gawd. >_>

These servers were taken off tf2 because it was allowing the quick earning of hats and weapons so valve shut em down the ones that are left have passwords or are on private networks :(.

There were no bots. It was all players. Plus, if you didn't notice, red team was LOCKED as it had too many players on it. :|

@thesparks007 Yeah true, except this video was made months before the Spy update came out. This video was made ages ago (during the Heavy update), so a lot of my complaints about achievement servers are gone. I haven't played on an achievement server for a long time, since getting achievements and unlocks are easy now :P

@dalehauri Yes I do still play TF2, not that often because I have other things that I am busy with, and as for my hat total.....uh....I'd say...maybe like 3 or 4? Usually because of some special gimmick Valve does, like Bill's Hat for pre-ordering L4D2, or Ellis's Hat for owning L4D2, etc. I've never gotten a hat drop nor have I gotten enough metal to craft one. :P

I just had my first achievement server experience and it was nothing like this - mainly because the other "team" was all bots, plus a couple of folks who a) wanted to help by sacrificing themselves, b) wanted to screw things up for the achievement farmers (and doing a good job of it for a while - pity they gave up), or c) just didn't know any better.

It wasn't bad, but it was the most retarded 90 minutes of gaming I've ever experienced.

Going to an achievement server to farm achieves is just plain lazy, it makes you look bad, and there's nothing you've actually Achieved. It's like playing a final fantasy game where you skip to the end because you get all the cool weapons.

There are 2 views on the unlocks, which both of you guys are showing. I agree more with CoolTuber on the issue, but with how the TF2 community is, i.e. purepunk, people don't want to work hard for the unlocks and instead have them given to them.

The only reason I go on achievement servers is to be equal with the rest of the community. Anyways, most of the unlocks suck sadly. A few of them are ok, but overall, I just can't stand them.

I guess that's a fine reason... I actually have to admit, I went to an achievement server to get about 5-6 scout achievements because they are really hard and long until you start unlocking some weapons. They put in too many sandman achievements.

Dude go spy, and cloak inmediately right after you spawn then you decide if keep hiding or try and get some backstabs. Or soldier works pretty well against cabinet heavies.
