  • This reqiuem should be the relevant one. Not only for the pure beauty but for Brahms choice not to use the catholic texts. It's a requiem for the living not afraid of the damnation.Chills and warmth between all humans and with a eerie sense of what was about to happen. A Masterpeice in the true sence.Don't get me wrong; Mozart, Berlioz, Verdi, Dvorak, Bruckner wrote all breathtaking Requiems, but this really is the one that feels "IRL".

Jesaja 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:10
  • What could one say? There are, imply, no words to describe this masterpiece, nor the the feelings it evokes. 1:38 - WOW!!! 2:40-3:09 and into the next theme -WOW!!!

  • How in the world did they find singers who are the exact same height?! Or get the trumpets to hold their instruments at the exact same angle? Crazy.
