If this is in the game. I see it as another choice like Virmire. Except in this case its either probably save yourself, and have your love interest (In the audio's case Liara T'soni.) go rescue joker, and lose them.

No, in this audio Joker's saved. Shepard actually forces him into the escape pod and if you listen closely you can hear that he likely broke the poor guys arm in the process. Shepard? He's not so lucky.

I'm quite certain this scenario has already been addressed and explained, albeit not in much detail.

It's centered around bulding 'trust' among your squad - Joker in this case. If Shepard hasn't built enough trust, Joker hesitates/objects to escaping earlier on. However, Joker survives either way, with Shepard facing the repurcussions...

First of all this is not the ending, second, I dont think it would make sense for you to leave joker or save him, and when you pick save him you both die, what kind of choice is that why dont you just leave, this i proly the reason everyone thinks hes dead

Yay! Liara is back! =) (And so is Ashley if one picked her for romance, which I did for both characters on two seperate playthroughs).

It's kind of hard to hear what Shepard is saying when he is talking to Liara. (Starts at 4:12) I don't know if that's just bad audio quality or if my speakers are just crappy, but can anyone tell me what they're saying?

Also the fact that when that Asari said Shepard was supposed to be dead he said, "I got better." So maybe his being sucked out into the vacuum of space is unavoidable, he is one the verge of death and maybe does die for a few minutes but is picked up in time and brought back which can happen with drowning victims for example if CPR is done fast enough. Not sure how well that works in the vacuum of space though but it's a sci-fi game so anything is possible,

no shepards death in space is when the normandy is being blown up and you can choose to either go to straight to ur escape pod or try and save joker who refuses to leave the ship behind. if u try and save him the normandy blows up and shepard and joke float in space to die.

I'm wondering what happens in the good ending. Is the normandy still destroyed but shepard escapes, is the normandy not attacked at all and theres a totally different ending? I'm not sure, because this unknown enemy is obviously going to set the stage for mass effect 3, and if we dont see it at the end of me2 what would become of it?
