Lol. One day science will even prove that "God" and "Satan" were created. That is, by weaker human minds that needed a scapegoat for the things they cannot comprehend.
@SuperSexyBoiGod I wish!!! But it' s a hard job; Youtube is full of vids talking about that but is also full of bullshit where creationists and theists speak up.
Maybe should we be a little bit more violent to face them and erase their non-sense. After all what they are doing to the World is tough.
the poison of religion is well put, I am so tired of the ignorance and unnecessary death & suffering that such faith & beleifs have caused, thank you all for your comments, thank you FFreethinker, may we all have an
there is also free thinkers on other planets in the universe :) i hope they do a great job with there " young civilisation" and try to save them from delusions :))
i admire your courage in saying this. I too think we have some time to get over the poison of religion. although we have no proof that god, lord, magic teapot in the sky or whatever, does or does not exist, religion and faith causes blindness and conflict. but I am agnostic so if god, lord, magic teapot in the sky or whatever does exist I will except it and be satisfied with the actual proof.
We need to acknowledge, though, that there may be centers in the brain whose function is to instill a sense of religiosity or spirituality. If this is the case, it will not be the mere task of abolishing religion but instead finding a logical noncompetitive expression for that part of ourselves.
@motardkool To be honest if there is intelligent life what to say there's no God? I wouldn't say people who believe in God are anymore deluded than those who believe aliens exist somewhere. In fact there was a time we though time travel was a thing of science fiction but now we learn it's actually entirely possible.
@motardkool True... How is it possible to be the one and only life form in the whole Universe... It is even a high possibility of extraterrestrial civilizations living in our own cosmic neighbourhood and how about the thousands of other galaxies filled with billions of stars and hospitable planets? I say yes, there is something in just a hand reach distance, it is just not the right time for us because of the lack of technology we have to get to know distant civilizations. But we'll get there...
Have you seen Star Trek The Next Generation? Captain Picard accidentally interferes with the natural progression of a proto-Vulcan culture. One of the proto-Vulcans determines that Picard is a god and assumes to know what "The Picard" wants. When the captain realizes that this culture rid themselves of illogical notions of gods hundreds of years ago, he is very upset. He does everything in his power to keep these "people" from throwing away such an accomplishment.
Right. There defintely has to be life on other planets, perhaps even very similar to the life here on Earth...and while it might seem "far" to us, considering our current technology, in relation to the size of the universe, it could be millimeters away.
Considering the vast amount of stars we've seen so far, even with our limited technology, the chances of at least one being a lot like our sun are pretty high. We won't be going there anytime soon though.
That, and given we have difficulties understanding and communicating with even our closest relative species here on Earth, will make any communications with a species living in a different ecosystem even more difficult.
Do religious people watching this just say to themselves, oh those scientists are all in kahoots, its a global conspiracy, all scientists are devious liars.

Yep, me too...!
I think that if much more adavanced civilizations exists somewhere, they are "godfree".
We are a too young race to get rid of all our delusions... But it will come, soon.

lol, its such a shame the universe is so huge we can't even comprehend the scale of it.
Imagine if Star Wars was actually real in some far away galaxy?
suckminipple 3 years ago 4
Yeah, it's too bad. I still sleep well at night, but I'm definitely curious about all the things we might find in our universe.
Luckily, other people are curious enough to explore space for a living, so with time, we'll know more and more about what's out there.
