yes, even though I bought my kit a good four+ years before Rock Band came out, I totally didn't play it at all until Rock Band came out.

seriously, i played real drums for years before Rock Band, i don't need the screen, and i've wroten my own tablature for my own songs before. I put the screen up there and played along to it to show it can be translated back into real drums, but you didn't read the info, so you wouldn't know that.

What the hell are you talking about? The only drum signals on RB that translate well into real life are mostly the easy parts. There's no hi-hat pedal, and eight different pieces (going by the author's set) have to be coordinated into four notes. If anything, trying to play off RB signals would cause more accidents.
