Unique in the world? Oh Baloney! Theirry Legault has been doing this for some time now (and doing it better). This kind of imaging has been done by a group at the Boston (US) Museum of Science Observatory since the mid 1990's including shots of the shuttle docked with the old Mir space station and shots of ISS under construction.
@1sorryham They may have been unique at the time. I believe Legault started his ISS imaging project a couple of years after this was filmed. The work in Boston is done with professional equipment by professional astronomers, and should not be compared with the work done by amateurs with their own telescopes, done on their free time.
@jonkristoffersen, Nope, sorry, not unique. The Belgium Working Group Satellites (an amateur group) imaged both the Mir space station and the shuttle way back in 1991 and 1995.
BBC is just so awesome! And hats off to anyone who looks for sats or space stations, I know I have a lot of fun camping with the chaps and chapettes and we always it seems come to the subject of sattelites in the evening, and guess who always brings his binoculars??? 8-]
probs some homebrew stuff, a lot of astronomers are into the phsyics and maths which are important for programming. along with other pastimes like radio amateurs.

Hmm, i have never been filming those strange things in space, but i've been able to get some similar forms, or should i say craft with my SLR camera equipped with a super tele lens i borrowed from one of my friend.
Clearly it was made by someone, or something out there, it maybe a satellite, or even better, an alien craft.
I'd be posting it soon, when it's done please give comment of what it is okay?
Great footage. Have been trying to get my friend to film the ISS as it is currently over the UK now but the weather has not been good at all. Nedd some clear skies before we miss the window.

What makes you believe John to be a hoaxer? Is it because you read stories written by faceless and nameless people on some forums that don't want anyone to know that John's videos are real? Ever tried following one of those stories to find it leads nowhere? This information has been stamped with a D-notice.
nice rendering, did you use maya?
