The regular police or campus police? Look at the statistics for crime and accidents related to only alchohol and then look at the crime and accident statistics attributed to ONLY marijuana.(I doubt you'll find any because they lump them all in with illegal drugs as a whole) The alchohol stats are horrifying. I like a drink once in a while but if I had to choose which one to make illegal or which one was more dangerous, it would be booze! Granted, there's a time and a place for these things.

i wasn't trying to say weed is worse than alcohol or anything. i was merely pointing out that they must not be that busy if they are wasting their time here at uvic (and yes they are the real police; they hand out tickets and everything). it just seems to me that there must be some strange technicality protecting this vapor lounge cuz you would think that the popo wouldn't put up with a place that encourages the use of weed and has become common knowledge around bc.

the act of smoking in a private place is not illegal. their loop hole is that they don't buy or sell weed. which is illegal. having para-fa-nelia (too lazy to spell check that word) is also not illegal. so in reality what they are doing is legal. so no bust can happen.
