i dont know if all others feel the same way too but for me, i find literature buffs intelligent and hot...they're not a bunch of nerds...they're hot! yeah you heard me right! =)
What a great place to study English than in the very country that invented it. Awesome simply awesome. Of course we perfected it here, you know by getting rid of that funny accent you guys got over there. HAHAHAHA. Oh sorry.
@chicago618 what??? the Welsh didn't invent English! English is a collaboration of many european languages but is most significantly western-germanic, not welsh.
You know what s funny? I was reading your comments and I realized why you made no sense to me. Its because I cant find one place where I said the Welsh invented anything much less the english language. First I was referring to England. I know you all think Welsh is its own country but here in the US we just lump you all together. Second did you read that part where I said "HAHAHAHA" you see that is a clue that I was writing in jest, that means to make fun.I was being a little sarcastic.
@chicago618 i was just merely pointing something out and there was no need to reference me back to your unfunny accent joke or the whole American vs English thing anyway. and you said what a great place to learn english, the place that invented it. this is from the university of wales in bangor, WALES. and just because your from the states and know nothing that goes on outside your borders doesn't mean you can just lump all us brits together, we are all different.
I am an english literature student and drama is a major part of studying it. Whenever we have plays, I opt to write the script rather than act. It's a good way out of all the confidence factor.
Im currently at college and am thinking of going to do english literature at uni...this guy said something about a drama rehearsal?! :S Im not a confident person; is drama a major part of most english lit courses or is that just something this particular guy does as a hobby or something?!
I'm studying English language and literature and drama i not usually a core part of the course but you do sometimes get the option to do it as it's closely connected to theatre studies.
I am studying the same stuff in Texas. I am actually working on my Masters. Its always interesting for students outside of English Studies to see our classes and observe what goes on during a literature discussion.
the campus is crap at bangor. there are no grounds at all. few concrete car parks, a tiny bit of grass by the library. Not recommended. Bangor Uni is crap, and the Welsh people dont want you there unless you are Welsh!!

The day in the life of an English major? Here it is:
1. Go to class and sit amongst a bunch of fellow nerds.
2. Listen to the professor and talk about things.
3. Go home and read 100+ pages for class tomorrow.
4. Neglect writing your thesis paper until two days before it's due.
