Rumor has it the cameraman DID see something?, it was that it did not show up on film but the cameraman did see something, its just a rumor though.

Personally i cannot see anything but darkness here or an empty room, i tend to agree.

There was a clever cut, not as clever as part 2, between the seconds of 2:29 and 2:30. What is insinuated is the double doors are shut (on the right side of the hallway), then when he turns away, then back, the double doors are open. However, there is a not-very-clean cut in the time I listed. If you don't catch it, watch it a few times you will notice it.

It's most noticeable as you note the axis at which he's turning away (at 2:29), then after the cut, he's having to angle down.

@concernedagain The video its self is proof. Look at all 4 videos. Out of the thousands of videos I have see for some reason on these vids the "ghost" is in the same room in the same corner looking exactly the same not doing anything. The guy keeps going back to the same room and looking at the same corner over and over again. It looks like someone with a white T-shirt and since its dark in the room and the guy filming moves the camera round so much so can't make out that is a person.

@tonycns Hey that's your opinion and i respect it, but arn't you just a lil curious about the rest of the tape?, yes it would be easy to hoax maybe?, but why bother and did they take out of work lessons on how to hoax a vhs tape?, maybe? and how did they do it?, where are their 'outtakes'? and how come 5,6 or maybe 7 or more people involved with this recording have not come forward to explain either way?

@concernedagain This would be easy to make up. If I had a camera and a location to film I would do a way better job. I believe there are ghost out there but I don't think this was a ghost on the vid. Why would someone want to reveal a good hoax? I've been to haunted places and seen some crazy shit that can't be explain. You need to see if for yourself. Everyone is entitled to there own option and if you or anyone else thinks its real then that's cool :)

@tonycns I don't think 'ghosts' are real, i just think that 'maybe' these guys legitimatly captured something on tape. The title came with the film. People reveal paranormal hoaxes all the time, the Gable film for instance, the alien autopsy by Ray Santilli is another example of people finally coming forward to admit how they pulled it off, i have no doubt you could do better, there are way better materials and editing software nowdays to achieve this but back in 2003?

@tonycns The demeanor of the guys in the film is something i have never seen in any other amature paranormal film, its the most genuine 'screams' and other off hand conversations that captivate me and make me think there is something to this, i could be wrong of course but there are just some things in this film that just dont add up for me and being recorded on an old mini vhs cassette back in 2003 just adds to the mystery :)

@NuclearXmas Well, i understand 'nowdays' kids do some crazy stuff hoaxing vids because the tech is readily available to achieve this. I'm not sure exactly what i was doing when i was these guys age but it never entered my mind to hoax anything, the only vhs-type hoax that i can think of that suggests your hypothesis is the Gable film, but the guy was an adult who made it, no profit was taken or fame was achieved and it had people guessing. you could be right, but you could also be wrong. :)

@NuclearXmas To add: Are you suggesting that these guys were winding up the local paranormal groups in and around the Corpus area?, maybe got a little pissed off with all the ghost nonsense that was going on in the news buildings at that time and they thought they would 'teach the ghost hunters a lesson'?.If this is true then i must say, Mike and his crew got this spot on for their first attempt at a hoax :)

I have to look at this from a logical standpoint and believe this is fake. Because I'm a sane human being that tends to approach this type of material from a scientific perspective. But excluding all of my knowledge and rationality and forgetting all I have learned about this kind of stuff. It is extremely interesting. And it does pass off as possible, and their are a lot of details that would suggest this is an extremely well thought out an complex hoax.

So the doors are clearly closed at 2:28 then less than 10 seconds later she makes her little vocal call and at 2:35 he turns around and the doors are wide open and a ladder fell back across the hallway with no cut in film or sound? That's wild. What's less convincing is someone's up in the cieling and threw something down at 2:42 you can see it.

@jcdixon97 Hmmm I don't know, something doesn't seem right... watch at around 2:27. He says "those fucking doors" and when he turns the camera, there is a quick skip of the frame. Now if you see closely, the lighting completely changes on the wall from the bright yellow/white to the normal white since the white balance kicked in on the camera. Further more, watch at 2:20 when he looks away from the door. The white balance is smooth and it keeps its same yellow/white appearance.

It's not a cut in the tape, although the wall 'seems' to change color along with the ambient sound, the tape is not cut, at first i thought exactly what you thought but after many many views and listening to the whole recording with headphones on, i can tell you that part of the film is not cut.(i even made a video about here but i removed it)

@concernedagain Sorry, I'm not buying it. In fact, I decided to plug my earphones in and listen to the ambient sound. What I heard was proof that it was cut. Now, you have to listen very closely. Listen to the first 10 or so seconds before the part. The sound remains the same, even when he turns the first time. However, at the part where it cuts, you can hear the ambient sound change. It is very hard to hear though. I'd advise you to listen again, I don't feel like using audacity tonight.

@zacinnic i understand where your coming from mate, but, during the film this type of 'cut' can be observed and its clear its not a cut, plus, when mike walks into one of the rooms just before his first encounter, the ambient sound changes but clearly no cut?, there is also a part where mike pans the camera and same discoloration happens but again you can clearly see its not a cut. i have audacity also along with vegas 9 pro which i have converted the whole tape to dolby 5.1. its not a cut :)

@zacinnic Yeah it's beyond logic how the ladder can fall or even be gently laid against the wall without making a sound in that period of time. I notice the cut in film part, I didn't pick up on that before, nice job! This is bizaar and Im not sure what to think. I've never experienced a ghost but Im open to the belief, it just seems there's so much fake stuff out there it's made it hard to believe anything on film at all, the apparition seems authentic, but the other things are suspect.

@jcdixon97 even IF there is a cut in the tape, how do you explain all the other odd things that happen in the film? :), like two doors slamming shut together while the cameraman is standing there and there is clearly nobody around? and the EVP that is heard and you can hear the cameraman breathing over the EVP?, there are many things that cannot be easily explained in this unique piece of footage. i am a non believer and i find this film very interesting :)

Yeah Im with ya man this footage really has me intrigued. Im not a film guru so Im somewhat vulnerable to trickery but this is about as authentic as what I've seen. The apparition seems legit to me and I agree the other things cannot be easily explained but it's possible some of it could be staged. I think the knife scooting across the floor clearly from the cameramans direction is suspect in particular. Im open, not saying this is fake, but rather bizaar and honestly I don't know what to think.

Also, when you think about it in terms of ghost, what ghost has the control to sit there and lay a latter down quietly and open doors that fast?

@zacinnic Yeah I don't know, ghost behavior has to be a frustrtating thing to try and figure out. Not sure we know what they're capable of and not capable of. Orbs and evp's are boring to me, but the apparition and moving of objects is very intriguing. This is just really cool footage but some things could be staged just in my opinion, not that Im qualified, other than common logic, to debunk anything. But the apparition does seem real to me.

It's crazy how you see those double doors open at 2:04 and then he pans away and then when he pans back at 2:24, they're closed. This is about the most convincing ghost video I've seen on YouTube.

I noticed a weird shadow at 3:03 on the ground. It moves rapidely from left to right then goes back to the right. It stays there for a second or two then disappear.

It's kinda hard to debunk when you've been there and don't know how the rooms and windows are set up.

However, the camera doesn't seem to be moving at this time which could indicate that the person holding the camera is not doing any movement that could cause that shadow.

Any debunkers here?

@deepvoid Not many people point that out, i know about it of course. This 'shadow' could be mike waving his free arm above his head behind the camera, but, the camera itself has little movement, so i doubt it was mikes arm that caused the shadow, the shadow not only casts on the floor but on the back wall aswell and thats weird because of where the lights are positioned, i did have a segment on this but i did not upload it as i thought people would not be interested.
