Agreed - these manf's are selling a dream that 99% of the time can't be realized. Even the "pro" built cars look like poor rip-offs the majority of the time. If you finish you'll have 4x the money tied up in the car (at least), and possibly a big unfinished embarassment...
theres a lot of fiberglass work that you have to do to these "bargain" kits,thats why people that OWN paint and body shops buy and build these kits,not the average joe. Plus, you'll have to aquire custom windshields and glass, interior, wiring, etc. Kit Cars are just not worth it.period.
For the average Joe no they are not worth it at all. Too much headache and if you dont have the time and patients to do it right then yopu'll just be throwing your money away on something you may never finish. I built one of these kits but with the MERCY1 kit on a Fiero gt chassis and put an LT1 motor into it. Great car really. Took me 6 months to finish it and I just sold the thing for $28K. Wouldnt do it again though. A+ kit though very easy to intstall just need good tools.

All the glass work required is listed on their site. They sacrificed fractions of inches to accommodate glass work from other cars!
