Russell sucks. If Natalie hadn't had alliances with the galu girls getting Erik out Jaison would have been gone and russ would have used the idol next tribal council but the never would've been able to get the numbers they needed for foa foa to make it to the end. Natalie knew Russell had enemies on the jury that she could follow him to the end and beat him. In HvV the players said it themselves. the only reason he got so far is because everyone could beat him at the end and thats his flaw.
The first time I just watched 2 or 3 episodes, and I thought Foa Foa members (especially Russell) deserved win, but I was mistaken. Galu tribe won all challenges and of course, one of them had to win, but, for a weird reason, Russel Hantz found 3 hidden idols without any clue. I´m wondering if CBS helped him. That would be a conspiracy.
Natalie I honestly think that if Russell had been voted off you would've not lasted as long as you did. I mean the man found the idols without any fucking clues! He made history you didn't do shit but do as you were told. When Russell told you to vote for someone you did, so yah if they gave America part of the vote I think Russell would have won. If he did, he'd know that he would ultimately face the jury and if he's pissed everyone off, chances are, he's not getting any votes regardless of how "strategic" his gameplay was/is. I do think he is the best strategic player ever, but when people feel betrayed, whether in a game or not, they'll bite back.

Being a steamroll player doesn't mean you deserve to win the game. You also have to think about how your actions affect those around you, especially the ones in the jury.
He was outwitted and outplayed by THREE women in his first two seasons. At Redemption Island, he got outfoxed by a whole tribe!

@whole27 You just proved how SMART Natalie is. If you don't come off as a threat, no one will target you for elimination. If you don't step on any toes, you won't be blamed for any wrongdoing. If you play a subtle nuanced game with a single properly placed and timed move, you will have no trouble defeating an out-in-the-open asshole with any number of big blatant moves. Every vote against the other player helps you.
Bottom line is, whatever Natalie did, it worked and the reward is hers.
Russell, period. The rules of the game are designed around exploitation and craftiness. You can't sign up for that and then cry foul that someone did it better than anyone.

It's not the same thing. If you want to compare Boston Rob and Russell, rewatch ASS. Read up on it. The ASS jury makes the Samoa jury look like saints. THEY were a bitter jury, meaning they would never have rewarded Rob regardless of what he did or how he acted. The only acceptable thing for the ASS jury was that THEY won. Nothing else is acceptable.
The Samoa jury, sans Erik, didn't fuck Russell because he never interacted with them. Ergo, it was impossible for him to play the game at all.

Using the Immunity is using a handicap. It implies that Russell can't do well in a game without producer assistence. The HII was
introduced for the sole purpose of making it easier for them to control the actions of the contestents. Because the HII is considered the "personal property" of whoever finds it, they inherently have an unfair advantage. Being able to find the HII says nothing about ones survival skills, nor their skills at the game of Survivor.
finding the immunity idol, then manipulating people with it is strategy, because russell used it to convince people how they wanted them to vote, if some fool finds it and doesnt use it to ge tppl on his side... then thats not strategy

@SuperWillHatch If you watch all of the 'Jury Speaks' videos, you'll see that they all say that strategically Russell was the best player, and most of them say that Natalie did nothing. The majority say they're struggling with their vote, because they don't want to vote for Russell as they don't like him personally, but they acknowledge he did better than Natalie and Mick. That is why I say Russell is a better player, and they jury voted bitterly AGAINST Russell, not FOR Natalie.

Russell sucks. If Natalie hadn't had alliances with the galu girls getting Erik out Jaison would have been gone and russ would have used the idol next tribal council but the never would've been able to get the numbers they needed for foa foa to make it to the end. Natalie knew Russell had enemies on the jury that she could follow him to the end and beat him. In HvV the players said it themselves. the only reason he got so far is because everyone could beat him at the end and thats his flaw.

The first time I just watched 2 or 3 episodes, and I thought Foa Foa members (especially Russell) deserved win, but I was mistaken. Galu tribe won all challenges and of course, one of them had to win, but, for a weird reason, Russel Hantz found 3 hidden idols without any clue. I´m wondering if CBS helped him. That would be a conspiracy.

If anything, I'll remember Russell, if only because he's the guy you WANT to be sitting next to in the Finals. If he did, he'd know that he would ultimately face the jury and if he's pissed everyone off, chances are, he's not getting any votes regardless of how "strategic" his gameplay was/is. * Playing the hidden immunity idol at final 12
* Kicking Natalie isntead of jaison at final 5. Then you will get her and bretts vote.
*Not playing the idol at Final 6. Putting the idol on at Final 7.
* Not thinking of the jury. Connect with the future jury members and be more humble.

@whole27 You just proved how SMART Natalie is. If you don't come off as a threat, no one will target you for elimination. If you don't step on any toes, you won't be blamed for any wrongdoing. If you play a subtle nuanced game with a single properly placed and timed move, you will have no trouble defeating an out-in-the-open asshole with any number of big blatant moves. Every vote against the other player helps you.
Bottom line is, whatever Natalie did, it worked and the reward is hers.

It's not the same thing. If you want to compare Boston Rob and Russell, rewatch ASS. Read up on it. The ASS jury makes the Samoa jury look like saints. THEY were a bitter jury, meaning they would never have rewarded Rob regardless of what he did or how he acted. The only acceptable thing for the ASS jury was that THEY won. Nothing else is acceptable.
The Samoa jury, sans Erik, didn't fuck Russell because he never interacted with them. Ergo, it was impossible for him to play the game at all.

@SuperWillHatch If you watch all of the 'Jury Speaks' videos, you'll see that they all say that strategically Russell was the best player, and most of them say that Natalie did nothing. The majority say they're struggling with their vote, because they don't want to vote for Russell as they don't like him personally, but they acknowledge he did better than Natalie and Mick. That is why I say Russell is a better player, and they jury voted bitterly AGAINST Russell, not FOR Natalie.

@SuperWillHatch If the player who wins is at the mercy of another player then they are not the best. Russell could have voted out Natalie at literally any time, she stayed in based on his mercy. That is a horrible player, no strategy, no skill, all luck. If she were on a new season she probably wouldn't make it to the jury. If Russell were on another season he would make it to the end for the third time. No need to pretend you're an idiot.

Using semantics, you can justifiably prove that everyone at one time or another was at the mercy of someone else. Even Russell. The fact that he has to depend on hidden idols to do well means that he couldn't survive on his own. Don't give me this crap that the idol is a legitimate part of the game. The fact that Natalie was able to get to the final two under Russell's shadow is meaningless. Russell is so fucking fat and arrogant that anyone would fall under his shadow.

@XKaliber2097 The hidden idol is as legitimate of a way of staying in the game as a solid alliance or winning immunity in a challenge. For you to say it isn't is literally retarded. It's like saying slam ducks are less legitimate than actual shots in basketball. Russel was never at anyone's mercy in that season, anyone he wanted voted off was voted off when he wanted to. Russell happened to take Natalie to the end but he could have taken any other player, and for that you say she is better. ha

Nat, Mick and Jaison knew Russell was seen as a tool. Hence, they acted accordingly: Nat played up the social game, Mick tried to present himself as the angel and Jaison presented his case to potential jurors. They tailored their performance to the final vote, Russell didn't. End of story.
On HvV, if he loses yet again, I bet that there'll be an outrage so bad that'll make the Samoa jury look generous in comparison and Natalie look more deserving than the new Russell Slayer.

So what? Any asshole can find idols without clues. They are easy to find, especially when you have producers helping you out* Russell was the one who ruined his own tribe in the first place. He was the one who caused FoaFoa to lose. On the first day, he went around to the cameras being an asshole, and the rest of the group CARRIED HIM to the end because he's so easy to beat.

If I were on Survivor, I'd make it a point to find the damn thing and burn it! I don't NEED idols to do well. Good players don't need to depend on them. Russell sabotaged his own tribe. He was the reason FoaFoa kept losing. He made a tactical error bringing Natalie who was liked to the Finals. He's not a good player, he's all talk.

Imo, without Russell, Foa Foa would have been screwed.
Natalie can sit back now and say she had a strategy to win it, but in reality, she was just along for the ride.
Deep down she knows that without Russell, she would have been gone. He is the sole survivor

I just don't understand why people still think Russell should have won?! He is a great planner in sending opponent home, but another part of the game is to get votes from the jury... How?
