@damjs He wasn't always a millionaire. It wasn't until he was in his mid twenties that he had millions in the bank. I'm pretty damn sure he'd know what it was like on the other side of the fence. Also, you say easy to sing - I guess you aren't aware that his time in that era of the early 70's it was much easier to sing a pop song to try to chart and make money. It was much more challenging and counter culture to sing about the split between working classes of that generation.
