Pretty much, everything degraded in the 90's they started getting a lot of bad kids coming in and harassing the customers. One day a group of teenagers were having an argument and one of them put his fist through the screen of an MK game.
After that, FunSpot stopped putting in fighting games and the ones they do have aren't kept up in good shape. If your in the mood for classics, its the place to be, but for fighters, CTF or 8 on the break is for you
Ok, There's probably other kinds of games that might interest me, I read on the Funstop site there is a Dragon's Lair cabinet, I have yet to try out a laserdisc game before, Is it in good shape?
Yes. This year Gary and the rest of the FunSpot staff fixed up all of their laser disk games with the Daphne emulator. All of the games run perfectly now, some better when they were released in the 80's.
Check our other video with Sgt. JAMMA, he showed off all of the laser disk games.
All of the machines run on tokens. Most of the games on the third floor are a token each with newer games ranging from 2-5 tokens.
They have a deal with a coupon, if you bring it in, you pay 20 dollars and get 50 tokens for free, which means they cost 11 cents each. For that price, they can't be beat.
PINBALL!!! Couldn't see what they had in stock...can't wait for you guys to more video reviews on pinball games..(miss them). Otherwise, Funspot looks like a cool place, good find!
I really miss arcade machines like this. I have not seen most of the really old school ones like that. Terminator 2,Hang on,Daytona USA,Crusin USA,Pac Man,Ms. Pac Man,Simpsons,Jurassic Park the ride, and a few others I have seen over the years.
That's cool. How many arcade machines do you they have at this establishment? If you stated that later in the vid. I did not get a chance to see it. As my internet provider is having some issues.
HAH that song is cool Nick, no need to apoologize. Id love to go to that place and would be there all the time if i lived close. It looks very empty though and it must cost some money to keep all the games on.. i hope they are busy through the day or something
Well, it's not for the viewers. Most video sites will frown on use of songs in videos. One of the FunSpot tours got pulled because I ended up getting a full song on tape. There's no way in hell I can go find a manager and ask him to turn the music off for 10 minutes while I do a video.
The music at FunSpot just adds to the nostalgia factor when you walk in there. Getting to hear 70's 80's and even a few 90's tunes really brings ya back to the good ol' days.
thanks nick i live near jersey shore so i go the arcades down there man thats an awsome arcade brought back alot of memories man for this 40 yr old gonna go listen to my pacman fever lp oh by the way do you know of anyone reliable who still fixes pinball machines my haunted house needs maintnance were is fun spot do they have 720 or jungle land how rare is the conan pinball awsome stuff love the orange cam cool
I know this video's kinda old but...
Do you know what games Funspot has on their Playchoice-10?
sonicfan966 4 months ago
@sonicfan966 They never change the games in the Playchoice. Off the top of my head they have Volleyball, The Goonies, Mario 1, 3 and Gradius.

I'm actually thinking about going here some time soon. Would this place happen to have any games from the Marvel VS series?
sonicfan966 2 years ago
No, they stopped with fighters at UMK3.

We're in the South, but we're thinking of making a trip north to visit this place. It makes me cry how awesome this place is.
Your camera work was fine, by the way. At least you don't get black lines when trying to record screens. Very impressed.

Most of the games you listed are on the bottom floors, but surprisingly no Jurassic Park, or Lost World.

It would be cool to spend a day or a weekend around there. Too bad I don't live closer.
My 2 favorite arcade games from the 80's are Black Tiger and Commando - do they have those games there?
Stinger2578 2 years ago
Yes they have Commando and Black Tiger. Black Tiger was donated 2 years ago by Triforce of Empire Arcadia. Triforce currently holds the world record.
