It's great, as once you know how these "people" work, they look really pathetic and kind of, well, stupid. Transparent liars and usually rampant emotional and sexual cheaters. Don't make excuses for their bullshit. Trust your gut and JUST GET OUT! I did not for 7 months when I should have left after 1 month.

A narcissist isn't very tolerant of anything. I know this stuff because I used to be one. lol. But I think most of humanity is at least somewhat narcissistic, or I guess egotistical would be a better word. And of course narcissism is when your ego is so big it blinds you from reality.

Maybe even philosophies. There is nothing wrong with it if it is truly healthy for you and others, but if you are naive, that probably isn't the case.
Why do narcissists get chronically "lost" when he goes anywhere? (For example: he goes to the store and takes 2 times the normal, or get "lost" parking for 45 minutes-- instead of the "normal 5 minutes"?
It is so strange to me. I made a suggestion to someone to focus on positive things too because there seems to be a pattern of her only telling negative stories where she is done unto and where other people are bad. It's always, "they did this and they did that". She became very upset at my suggestion.
@TiffyBear, Sociopath and psychopath are technically the same thing. NPD and Psychopathy are closely linked, except for key underlying factors that distinguishes them apart. Of course it is a spectrum of severity where as you have healthy narcissism on one end, NPD in the middle, Malignant on the end border-lined with Psychopathy.
To the cat it is just a game, but to the mouse it is a matter of life and death. I have more confidence in my life. I am no longer a mouse in that cat's game.

I know someone just like that. He is a monster and a nightmare to everyone who knows him. It's hard to believe that these kinds of people exist, but they do. It saddens me to say always be on guard for new people in your life. But it is better to be careful until you give yourself enough time to make a proper observation. Take your time and take it slow. Protect yourself, you are worth it.
