@frog7800 Supercells are the strongest of normal storms, producing heavy rain, hail, winds, lightning, and normally strong rotation (which can form tornadoes).
@qaz474 a supercell storm is a combination heat generated with humidity along a front then clouds start to build up called cumulonimbus when cold air from the north & hot air from the south combine the cumulonimbus starts to form a thunderstorm which becomes a supercell with really dangerous cloud to ground lightning heavy rain, hail and tornadoes. hope that explains everything(if i describe that wrong please someone correct me thanks)
i live in New Zealand so i never get to see stuff like this personally but it is soooo interesting and it must be an amazing sight must go to america and places like that to see it..
i really like how you have Lightning and thunder in your videos...alot of chasers have only the tornado, which is fine...but lightning and thunder is also amazing.
heheheh I love chasing in southwestern ontario, never seen another chaser yet so your allways alone ( theres been a chaser now and then on the same storm however)
I didn't realize that final dust cloud was as impressive as it was until I watched this. And I loved the lightning bolt around :24. And I think you can hear static electricity some time around 1:00 into the video. Shows how close we were getting. Cool!
Yeah, that dust being kicked up by the outflow winds was amazing...really great contrast. And that one lightning bolt at the beginning is awesome...the camera just happened to be framed perfectly. Even though the one bolt the next afternoon, near Ness City, is out of the shot, the sound is incredible.
Wow! You were nearly getting struck by lightning out there! Was this an LP, HP, or classic supercell?

For most people, tornado sirens make people run inside. For storm chasers like you and I, it makes us run outside :)
