I just found out about Dana,I have been a fan of D&K since college. He will me missed,I know the Father is enjoying Dana's music upstairs,he is probably jamming with Rich Mullins.
D&K -This Ain't Hollywood just came out I was in 8th grade after accepting Christ. It was the first Christian album I owned. I always felt encouraged, convicted, and inspired by their music. They always placed the Gospel of Jesus above all they did, music was just a vehicle and not the focus for them. Its sad that Christian music today does not hold as true to the same convictions. Dana has finally attained the goal and will see the fruits of his labor! He must have been a great pastor.
I always loved this song and now as I watch it.. I'm sad to know that Dana has passed on. He is with his loving God but I pray for comfort for his family at this time. God Bless you and may you rest in Peace Dana!
R.I.P. Dana Key. Memorial Services for Dana Key will be held at 1pm on Thursday, June 10th at Woodland Hills. Woodland Hills is located at 10000 Woodland Hills Drive in Cordova, TN. If you have any questions, you can contact me at The Love of Christ Church where Dana was our beloved Senior Pastor, 901-737-8802. Please continue to pray for the Key family and our church. God bless you all! pass it along.
@lonestar50000 Thank you so much for posting this info. I will repost this on Facebook and twitter. God bless you as you adjust to churchlife w/o him. I visited your church website and noticed a blank spot that looked like the webmaster intended to post media there, If you would like to post this video in that spot, feel free...Dana didn't miss the opportunity to witness for the King!
Wow I do feel old now. I grew up listening to these guys. They were the inspiration for me playing music. Tommy Cathey is great! I have met them several times. I had every album they ever made. My favourite song from them was "The Pledge". Are they doing any more tours this year? I hope that my children will appreciate DeGarmo and Key's music and be inspired as I was at 11 years old.
This is one of the most amazing songs from D&K. When I lived in Florida in the late 80's, I knew an "Addey" due to the type of work I did back then. She never made it out alive but there are many that have and that's something. To all the Addey's out there, there is a better way, there is a better life, seek and you will find.
here in N.Ireland I came across this band by chance in the eighties - played Blessed Messiah, perfect reflection and he has risen to death, excuse the pun. great band and a help in my Christian Development
hey this is petrafan from São Paulo, Brazil. i first made contact with D&K's music more than 20 yrs ago. those were very good times, i didn't know it would pass so quick. i used to car travel around here with Absolutely Live playing on the cassette player. i have almost all albums D&K released. thank you so much for posting this video. i miss those guys so much.
e1 come to cornerstone you wont be the same lol D/K my 1st Christian concert with a little group DCTalk as warmup I have the ticket to prove it. 31 saved and wondering who this Jesus is that let us rock well I found out love God hate sin
Thank you, thank You, Thank You!!! Eddie Degarmo and Dana Key are one of my favorite bands. I have never seen them live and hope to one day. I am so glad you posted this! It gives me hope and it is a great song of redemption.
You are so very welcome! I'm working on getting Casual Christian/Rock Solid up. My memory card ran out before the song did so I gotta be a bit creative to make it presentable. Maybe yet tonight (uh, I guess that would be this morning now, LOL)
I love these guys. I grew up in Memphis and saw them play at Braircrest High School in 1978 around the time "This Time Thru" came out. I saw them one year ago (fall of 2007) at the church where Dana is pastor. They played for the church's 5th anniversary. It sounded then like a one time thing. I was shocked to find your video from Cornerstone. Maybe, there is hope for other concerts. Thanks for the video!
R.I.P. Dana, I Still Listen To Your Music. My Heart Goes Out The The Family And Band Members Especially Eddie.
Thank You For The Great Music.

klj421,
Are you still alive and well? You can be greater than what they sing about.

Is it just me or did Dana mess up the lyrics?
Sounds like he sang the same verse twice. Maybe I am wrong.
