Hi! I had surgery on this 4 1/2 months ago.......6 doctors said acoustic neuroma, but it had a hamartoma!!! wow, could have killed me sooner, its out now but I have same symptoms with 1/2 side of my left side partially paralized. I am amazed you can play music with hearing loss.
@guidodday you are right it is tough at times I still suffer left sided nerve damage with synkinesis. I have balance issues that I am still working on. It is quite an adjustment losing hearing, I am hopeful someday doctors will find a way to restore hearing loss.
@millienm1 You and me both on the hearing restoration! You never know, with all the advancements. There is one doctor (can't remember his name) who's work's goal is just that. Need to search for him again. Hope you're doing better!

I have to thank you all! I had my surgery nov. 14th 2008, which was 19 hours, almost a year ago, I have severe balance isssues, and I wonder if Daran does too?

I also had such operation a year ago but my recovery is not so fast as yours. I even a bit envy you in a good way!
