I LOVE THE MILWAUKEE ROAD. it was the best mainline ever.
When is the whole route with the quill drives, 261, the E25, the olympian hiawatha, and the bi-polars coming. i'm so anxious. PLEASE PLEASE reply back to me.
Thanks for your compliments!! I am working at the Othello – Kittitas with high pressure. To run the EP2, EP3 and the 4-8-4 needs a route back into the 50’s. The Avery – Drexel now represents the 70’s. All has to fit together. I will create more time versions for both routes. If this is done, the locos will come along with it together in one bundle. I worked more than three years at Avery – Drexel!!! Impossible to tell a date for finishing the other.
Nice! I see just one thing you may want to fix. It seems you're using the Frisco 1522 sound so your Milw S3 functions like a "diesel". To fix it, use a steam enginespec (may I recommend the SAR 520 enginespec as that is what I use for other 4-8-4s) and a steam enginesound like the default pb15 by Auran. Then just select the center or driving bogey for the S3, and in Content creator's plus, put a check by where it says direct-drive. Then save and test in Trainz. Let me know how it works.
No it was not. The video sceenes have been captured in TRS2006 in which I started to work at my Milwaukee Road projects. The Avery-Drexel route has later been taken over to TS2009 and eventually to TS2010 and is now included into TS2010 as Built-In. I am about to work at the Othello - Kittitas route which I changed into TS2010, but there is still at lot of work to be done.
Yes it will. At the moment I am working to complete the Milwaukee Road Othello-Kittitas Route. The Northern will be available together with the Bi-Polar and much other MILW stuff.
I also made the coaches and I already released a whole set of it. Just search DLS for my stuff by typing in my user kuid number: 82412 or search by using of my name: TUME.
But note, you will not find any content of the Milwaukee Road Avery-Drexel route on DLS as this is just Built-In content at TS2010 exclusively. This also includes the Little Joes and the Boxcab Electric’s. But you will find the Olympian Hiawatha Cars and my Erie Built Diesels and some more on DLS :-)
Hallo, thank you for your compliment. Yes, I have made the route and I am still about to finish it. Actually the video has been captured at two routes. “The Milwaukee Road Othello-Kittitas” (still unfinished) and the “The Milwaukee Road Avery Drexel”. The Avery-Drexel Route has been released inclusive some of the Electrics and rolling stock within Auran’s latest TS2010. The steam loco will need some more attention before I will be able to release it.
I love the 4-8-4 locomotive because this is my number one loco. If this locomotive is on the download station my brother will download it when he's old and make a railroad series with the Murchison Route and with the locomotive. Pretty cool huh?
Hallo thanks. I created the train - ecxept the AMTRAK diesel. You will find the passenger cars at Auran's DLS. Search for creator „tume or the Kuid 82412 thats me. Note: The 4-8-4 has not been released yet!
In the Feb. 2010 issue of Trains Steve Glischinski wrote that the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay will be looking for another operator to hopefully run 261. My family and I rode on it in Sept. 93 from Stevens Point to Junction City, WI. I really hope they do find another operator to continue running this 4-8-4 Northern super star!!!
Yes, unfortunately its true. Its about trouble between the owner and the organisation which operates it. The 261 needs to get a new boiler and it would be usable for the next 15 years, paid by the Friends of 261. But the owner just wanted to limit a new usage contract down to 10 years. This makes it quite impossible to earn the money back, which would have to be spent for the new boiler. But as long the loco will be save stored, a resurrection into operating conditions will not stay impossible.
Yes, I know, but it is not in operation. I just will consider the 265 by creating a non movable 4-8-4 Version in TRS, just like a house or a tree, to be placed in a museums area.
I see you like the S3 and it is a great compliment form me, that you keep obstinately asking about the time when the loco will be released. As I wrote I needed several month to get the loco as far as now and it will need several month more to get done the driver cab including all of its levers and so on. But now, I am working to get the Milw Bitterroot-Section ready for announcement, so I am not working at the S3 at present. Therefore the S3 will not be released within this year!
I am working under hight pressure to get my Milwaukee Road finished first. Than, I will be able to get back to the S3. I really cant say a date jet, when it will be finished.
Yes you are right. Thank you. This is one of the things, which needs to be done. The final versions will have running numbers, except the shiny looking version of the heritage 261, as there are no other drivable survivors considering the 265 is not in operation.
That is awsome. there were 10 S3 class northerns made for the Milwaukee Road in 1944 by Alco. you have the pre- retirement look exactly right. before retirement the 261 didin't have it's number on the sides of the cab. Really nice job there.
Thank you fort his information. I just went to have a look at the photos, and you are right, the 261 today have the visor I just missed it to consider shame on me :-) But in the other hand, the old version did not have the visor. I really should have studied the photos more carefully :-) As soon as I get back working again at this locos, I will add the visor onto the mesh of the today-version of the 4-8-4.
Well, I guess, beside some really little things, creating a workable driver cab, including all the levers and so on, is a lot of work to do, but it should be the last feature :-)
THanks for Shariing
