sorry, it's a fact, we got Physx, 16X Anisotropic Filtering, 16X Antialiasing, 1600p resolution, Directx10, (Soon to be Directx11) User Created Maps, Up To 64 Players Online, Map Editors, Mods. Free Map Packs. Keyboard & Mouse AND we CAN use a controller.
I also have $40,000 in media :-) Pretty good investment I'd say.
VooDoo with 3Dfx used to give special effects for those who ran 3Dfx. But nVidia bought them out in 2001 for $112 million. ATi was making the crappy Rage cards at this time (Not that ATi's technology has changed much since the crappy Rage). Anyhow, nVidia, unparalleled since 1993 ruled the graphics scene with a phenomenal technology of 3Dfx in a shutdown warehouse for almost 9 years. After all this time, they finally utilize the multi-processing ability they should've used in 2001 (a.k.a. 3Dfx)
hmm the differance aint that big but still, as soon as the glass brakes it start lagging for me, so even the 4870x2 aint enough, make games both for Nvidia and Ati!
ut3 engine is cool not crappy! this dice engine is much worse. you can play it well only on nVidia but ut3 goes great on all cards either. and looks way much better in my opinion
i mean 9600gt is a good card but at 1680x1050 it cant run 45-50 FPS maxed. not even a GTX 260 216 core can do that. Im running it maxed @ about 30-60FPS
This videos exaggerates the physx effects because when you enable them the glass doesn't have physx like in the video, also I didn't see any particles added by the physics.
PhysX makes my fps drop from 60 FPS to 15 FPS and im using a 9800GT and a E8400 intel core2duo D: updated everything and stuff D: any1 got a solution?
:D i bet that then the gta 4 would of been unplayable cause look at what it's like right now :D artifacts, flickering shadows, no AA and runs like shit :D rockstar sucks
I find it quite funny to see that there are crucial gameplay changing features that people without PhysX aren't getting

If you are playing games with PhysX enabled and disabled it in nVidia settings game will run VERY SLOW!!!
Ensure you have turned it on in your driver settings!!!!!!

Nvidia Created PhysX. Why would they give it you ATI? They want you to buy Nvidia!

seriously though who gives a crap about some rags flying?
nick45644564 2 years ago
quite heavy effects...i think it's too much to sacrifice just for some physics, i rather go to the FPS and not have physx activated
joaltome 3 years ago
yeah. but if you have a good cpu (like me)you would leave it on.

physx kills my fps (9800gtx), and this is DICE engine not the crappy "ut3" engine.

Actualy... this is UT3 engine, not frostbite. Frostbite was not complete when they started work on mirror's edge so they went with UT3.

lol I thought this was the Frostbite engine..

WTF are you serious? Something is wrong because I have the 9600 GT and I have everything maxed out and Physx enabled and I get about 45-50 FPS.

yeah new drivers for now, and the comment was over a month ago... wtf u serious?
gamezlol 2 years ago
No you dont, unless your monitors max resolution is 800x600.

lolwat? Seriously, do you mean I play at 800x600 or what? BTW PhysX hates my comp.

ensure u have PhysX turned on in ur nVidia drive settings.
when playing game with PhysX disabled it makes game really laggy
q009q009 2 years ago
Download the NVidia Physx and update your drivers, and everything will work flawlessly.
25 - 50 FPS on my AMD 6000+ (dual core, 3Ghz) 2GB DDR2 800MHZ ram, XFX 8600 GS Alpha Dog edition.
