Maybe do a little research...the Vigilante 327 was an AMC Rambler sourced motor. They are the Gen1 V-8's in 250 c.i., 287 c.i., and 327c.i. Rambler quit installing them in their cars in 1966, but you could still get the 327 in the Gladiator and i've seen marine 327's also. Good motors...steel crank and rods along with a deep skirt block way back when. No aftermarket support though.
