  • are the whole of china and india going to hell?

  • Sin = Imaginary crime

  • Sin is when you disbelieve God''s word.

  • I get this a lot im walking down the block see two outreach people they give me the dirty sinner look, look in the mirror when you put that face on because you will have to face justice too.

  • many people on earth are weighed down because of finances, harrasment at all junctiions, traumatic childhoods let them go teachings handed down by our parents who themselves were molded that way, hatred envy jealousy people putting you on that cross mentally, feeding into ignorance etc.

  • i have siinned in my life paid my dues. no one is perfect because we live in a earth of inperfections a corrupted earth. if you walk with your head high in the clouds wake up you are not perfect we live on earth. its a dog eat dog world. so perfect people this would is full of sin from many who beleive they are saved. just practice having a heart that's all if you fell bad about something thats good it shows you have a hearrt let go of those thoughts before bed. practice being good .

  • when you commit crimes that are violent or crimes that impact a persons feelings that is sin.,he who sins of violence must suffer. You work in a hospital and care for sick peple but the treatment you give them is inhumane, to hurt people feelings to break people down spiritually there are many sinners in religion today many becuase if they were autonomous and learn to teach themselves they would refraim from true sin. cheeaing on the one that you love breaking a heart a lie that hurts.

  • you decide to take a walk on a sunday morning and encounter a religious based outreach group as you pass them by they tell you repent turn to the lord, who are they to judge if they have found the lord it is that biase they were branded to believe to judge on appearence. You go to public assitance office and the person attending to you degrades you treats you messed up tha's sin, when you put money above all when you made yourself based on how much money you have.

  • what is sin? what you were brought up to beleive what is not sin. you are not a siiner because of how you dress what music you listen to how you walk who you hang out with whether you like to enjoy going out once in a while. what is sin let me give you an example of sinmany have the tendency to judge people when in fact they themselves arent free from sin because they tend to have their hearts weighed down.

  • ur a sheeple no god period

  • @duecepitbull there is a big difference between humans and animals. Humans have thoughts, emotions and intelligence. Animals have some of these but not to the extent that humans have. So if humans do a sin they should be held accountable because they had control over their actions.

  • @duecepitbull Humans are seperate from the beasts of the Earth.

  • Sin is an imaginary disease, invented to sell you an imaginary cure.

  • There is no such thing as sin, no matter how long you wish to make the list. We are animals shaped by evolution, not divine beings blinked in to the world seperate from Nature.

Your hell does not frighten me

Your god does not frighten me.

    I fear no god.

  • @NoFearOfGod I hope your heart changes. Sin is real. God is real. Heaven and Hell are real. Many people are going to both. One day all of humanity will bow down before the Lord. Either bow now or bow then. Friend, dont be misguided by your desire to rebel against God. He loves you and He has died for you. I pray that God will give you a heart of reverence. Repent friend and turn to God.

  • @sdorn963 You may wish to spend your life in fear of the wrath of a jealous god, but I for one refuse. You may be satisfied that billions, as you see it, will go to hell, but I wish it on no one.

Hell is not real. Heaven is not real. When you die, you are dead. End of story. Don't be a fool. Hell is a made up place, a boogieman to scare the gulliable. Live for today, for this life. It is all you have.

  • @NoFearOfGod If you really wish that no one will go to Hell then you need to stop saying it doesn't exist. Just because you pretend that it doesn't exist doesn't mean that it doesn't. Hell is not a made up place. If I am wrong, then I have nothing to lose. However, if you are wrong you have EVERYTHING to lose. If you are wrong friend then you will spend the rest of your eternity in anguish and suffering and I dont wish that for you. Repent my friend and turn to Jesus! He is the only way.

  • @sdorn963 My best guess is that when I die I will cease to be, all that was me will be gone, forever. This does not frighten me. It frightens me as much as the billions of years that I did not exist do, none. If anything other than oblivion awaits me after death I will be pleaseantly surprised. Besides, humans can get used to anything over time, and I'll have billions and billions and billions and billions of years to get used to that lake of fire.

  • @NoFearOfGod You will never get used to Hell. Its eternal anguish and pain. It will not be some pleasant suprise friend, it will be a very unpleasant one. I hope that one day your heart changes. I will pray for you my friend. I hope God softens your heart so that you might turn and repent. Jesus didnt come and die for nothing, he came and died that we might repent and trust in Him. He is Lord of all and He loves you.

  • @sdorn963 You seem a nice person, so I wonder how you could ever endorse someone who could invent, then create something like hell? The majority of people who have been alive in the entire history of the world are now, or will be, through no fault of their own, burning in the hell you describe if you are right.

And this isn't a "you've had enough now" kind of punishment, but an eternal, magical damnnation of pain and suffering.

It just seems silly to think an omnipotent being would need it.

  • @NoFearOfGod You are right in saying that alot of the world will be in hell, if they died apart from Christ. You see we are all deserving of hell. We have all sinned and fallen short, You, me, Mark Driscoll, and so on. That is why hell exist because of sin. But, Jesus came to this earth and died that we might come to righteousness through Him and be redeemed to the Kingdom, Heaven. God has shown His love and given a Way through Jesus. How much more loving can you get?

  • @NoFearOfGod Yes God made Hell, but He also made a way! He gave us a way to be righteous. We have to be covered by the blood of Jesus. Thats what all the Old Testament sacrifices were about. They were a representation of how Jesus was going to come and save us for all of our sins, forever! The reason why hell exist is to seperate Holiness from Wickedness. Since God is completely Holy He cannot allow the wickedness into His presence. Just to let you know I really appreciate your questions!

  • @sdorn963 Let me see if I have this right. God made me and through a mistake made by my ancestors, that I had no hand in, caused me to be condemned to hell from the moment of my birth, but I can get out of my punishment by loving the very being that has sentenced me to this eternal toment? Doesnt this kind of sound like "an offer I cant refuse?"

Why doesnt god just let me die? Why does he have to come after me even after I'm dead ? Are our crimes so hiedious that this is what we deserve?

  • @NoFearOfGod Its not through a mistake made by your ancestors, but by your own sin. Look at the world around you. It is willingly rebelling against God. God has given us the amazing freedom of free will to be able to lovingly and faithfully follow Him, or choose our own wicked selfish ways. Your not being punished for your ancestors sins but your own my friend. And yes, our crimes our hideous! We have sinned against the completely Holy God! There is not one of His commandments we have not broken

  • @NoFearOfGod However, this is an offer you can refuse... to your own demise. As for your question about "why doesn't he just let me die?," thats like asking a judge if it was enough for you to get arrested for your crime. A crime has to be paid for, your sins have to be paid for. They are paid for through Jesus' blood covering you, or by your own eternal torment.

Question of my own... do you believe in God? Your questions are asked as one who believes in God but doesnt understand Christianity.

  • @sdorn963 No, I do not believe in god, I never have. As long as I remember it never struck me as credible. What convinced me that it was a man made myth was reading the bible cover to cover when I was a teenager. I understand christianity quite well.

And if its all the same to you, Id rather not be covered in blood. I dont want to drink it or eat flesh. I dont want anyone to die in my place. I accept responsibility for the consequences of my actions and strive to make them better.

  • @sdorn963 And if I may, What sin am I guilty of that you could possibly know aboutt? You assume I am guilty for simply being alive, for being human. You want me to believe that your morality is absolute, that it is the ultimate arbiter of good and evil.

I disagree. There is no diety to offend us so we can not "sin". Sin is a trap that is used to ensnare us all. Leave it behind, free yourself of its grasp and see life as it is, not as a training ground for the next world, but to be lived today.

  • @NoFearOfGod Everyone is guilty of sin. I have no idea about your personal life but i will assume that you have felt jealous or envious of what someone else has, that you have lied before, obviously you dont love the one true God, and you probably have looked at another person with lust in your life. My friend the only way you can be set free from sin is to follow and accept Jesus into your heart and worship God. He sets you free from the Sin that ensnares us all. He has freed me from its grasp.

  • @NoFearOfGod Its such an amazing thing to go through your life with Jesus as the source of your joy. To know that whatever might come in this life that you will one day see God in all His Glory, and have Jesus welcome you into the place he has prepared for us! Through any suffering and hardship, he is right there with us. My friend if you understood Christianity quite well then you would see the transformation of the apostle's lives in the NT. How else can you explain their boldness.

  • @NoFearOfGod If Christ had in fact not risen why would they proclaim him as risen and as the true messiah and be stoned, crucified, persecuted against and live a life of suffering if they knew it was all a lie. People have done these things while believing a lie was true, but if Christianity was all man made then the disciples would have had to be the ones to make it up. No one would ever die for a lie they created. Plus there are Jewish, Greek, and Roman documents that say Jesus lived.

  • @NoFearOfGod There is no possible way that an intellectual, like yourself, can deny the logic of the fact that Christ actually came to earth, lived and suffered, died on a cross for our sins, whether you wanted him to or not, we all put him there with our sin, and then rose from the dead three days later. He then appeared to over 500 of his disciples at once! This is all documented proof. Luke, a doctor, spent years of his life interviewing and talking to the people that were there to see it all

  • @NoFearOfGod I encourage you friend to look back into the Holy Bible, the very words of God written to you through faithful men who have spent their lives to preserve them for the world. Friend, you dont know when your time is up. Could be the instant you read this that you die, or it could be tomorrow, 40 years from now, nobody knows except God. Without Jesus my friend you are on the highway to hell. But God's patience with this world is meant for there repentance he does not want you to perish

  • @NoFearOfGod 2 Peter 3:9-10 "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed."

Jesus is coming my friend. Repent and turn to your Creator. He loves you and wants you.

  • @sdorn963 Jesus is coming my friend. Repent and turn to your Creator. He loves you and wants you...either that or burn in hell for all eternety.

  • @NoFearOfGod Its either heaven or hell my friend. God has been gracious enough to even allow anyone into heaven. We are all such rebels. Everyone wants to go there own way without any accountability to the perfect diety but one day we will all be held accountable my friend. I will continue to pray for you! What is your name if I may ask?

  • @sdorn963 My Name is Legion

  • Comment removed

  • @NoFearOfGod That's not a very good guess.

  • @imbonnie It's as good as yours I think. In the end, we are both, indeed only guessing. You, or I, have no possiblity of knowing, at this time, beyond a shadow of a doubt what awaits us after we die. You may convince yourself through faith that you know you have chossen wisely, but you have made your choice of over 9000 religions in the world, and you can only hope it is the right one. We will not know until we too go to "The undiscovered country, from whose bourn no traveler returns".

  • @NoFearOfGod No, your guess is not as good as mine. Your guess is a shot in the dark. If there is a God the only way we could know of him is if he revealed himself to us. And He did when He sent His son to testify about Him. It's not hard to figure out which of the 9000 religions is the correct one. Christ only started one church -- the Roman Catholic church. Only a fool would wait til the next life to figure out if there's a hell. Hell is full of people who did not believe.

  • @imbonnie How can you prove you have made the right choice?

Bible quotes will not work. Any person who has a holy book can do the same.

Personal experience wont work either. Humans are easily tricked by their own senses and we often see and feel things that arent there. Proof is consistent and repeatable by anyone who trys the experiment anywhere.

And since you brought it up, I feel only a fool would believe something for which there is NO proof.

Why do you believe the bible is true?

  • @NoFearOfGod Why do I believe the Bible is true? Because the Catholic church says so. There is no proof for one who rejects all the evidence. If you reject the testimonies of the witnesses who knew Jesus before and after his death, the witness of the saints who followed in Christ's path who worked miracles in Christ's name then so be it. I believe their witness testimony. Also, much of the truth Christ spoke of is moral truth which is inherently understandable as true.

  • HELL IS REAL!!! If we have lied, stolen, hated someone, looked with lust, had sex outside of marriage, used profanity, etc., we are guilty and in danger of spending eternity in hell after this life. However, that is not God's desire for us. Christ came from heaven to take our punishment on Himself and die on a cross. Three days later He arose and now commands us to turn from sin and trust in Him. If you are not born again see my video titled “Warning: Four Types of People That Are Hellbound”.

  • This man should read:

Mal 2:1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.

Mal 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

Everyone has sinned. No one is without sin!

Having hears, they hear not! God peace.

  • The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

  • Sin is actually breaking the Law of Moses. 1John3:4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law....so sin is transgressing the law of Moses. Check out my vids

  • i wish i understood

  • @superkingair06 I agree wholeheartedly

  • like this if you thought it was a stand up comedian and not a pastor

  • Why is he beating around the bush and giving his own defenition of sin. The bible makes it perfectly clear. 1 John 3:4 says Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. SIN IS THE BREAKING OF GODS LAW THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. Worshiping false gods, idols, taking the lords name in vain, not keeping the seventh day sabbath (sunday is not the sabbath) disobeying your parents, murder (hate in your heart, anger witthout cause), coveteousness, adultery et

  • The whole concept of "sin" is built upon the Adam and Eve story which we all know is laughably absurd except for the biblical literalists who can't discern the difference between reality and fantasy. There's no such thing as "sin". I agree that there's morality but it doesn't come from religion. It comes from the recognition of humanity's sociable behavior and how we all should get along as a species. Morality also comes from decision-making via your brain. Super-naturalism is laughably absurd.

  • "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

  • If you know what actually you want from your life then your total energy moves towards it.

Then there is no need of concerns on sin. sinful acts come from a confused mind.

if you want to become a singer then sing, sing, sing or dancer, dance, dance.

But if you repress it then start to imitate others or do bull shitting , there will be

    sin. lol

  • So you other heathen nations the Lord is not dealing with you at all i.e. Edomites (so-called Caucasian, which are the seed of the wicked aka devils), Ammonites (so-called Japanese), Moabites (so-called Chinese), Ishmaelites (so-called Arabs), Elamites (so-called East Indians), Hamites (so-called Africans) etc...if you are not an Israelites you are going into slavery in the Kingdom of Heaven to serve the chosen people of the Lord, which are not those fake so-called Khazar rats in Israel 2day

  • @GMSstudent777 [9] And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,

  • So in order to sin you have had to get the law, which only the Israelites were given the law Leviticus 26:46 (These [are] the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses) and Psalms 147:19-20 (He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and [as for his] judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD)

  • Ay this guy is a damn idiot taking about sin is anything that goes against "shalam" which is the correct way to spell the word, not the way the yiddish speaking fakes jews spell it (shalom). The word shalam means "peace" in the hebrew. Sin according to the bible is transgression of the law (1 John 3:4 - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law).

  • Hint, when you get to the talking snake you are reading myth.

  • Sin of to disbelieve God's word I am 100% sure

  • Sin means you're human. Get over yourself. There is no man in the sky watching you. No Heaven, no Hell, just us.

  • even though i Know what sin is I love it how pastor mark really goes in to detail sin is the complete unholiness and God is holy but trusting in Jesus who died in the cross for our sins. we then have a connection to the father and we are going to heaven:) Amen

  • Wow, it says on the wall in the back.. "What Christians Should Believe". Once again a religious man is going to tell the people what they should believe instead of just letting it come naturally. I deny your ENTIRE Bible.

  • Hey, Mark. Thanks for explaining NOTHING.

  • Sin is Anything Displeasing to God

  • @TheXanderGrim Your said, "Sin is anything displeasing to god"

Thanks so much for this definition. Seriously, this is the best theistically-based definition of sin that I have ever read.

And it very clearly demonstrates that theistically-based sin has no basis whatsoever in morality. It is simply based on the arbitrary feelings of an almighty creator, thus it derives its meaning from an appeal to authority.

  • @TheXanderGrim

Please consider that a much better basis for defining what constitutes a sin is anything that increases the suffering of or decreases the happiness of the most other people.

This, by all means, isn't a perfect definition, but it is a much better start to the very real & challenging goal of defining what is "bad". At the very least, we should strive to base this effort in morality.

    Your thoughts?

  • @ellimist6 God is unchanging.. He is Just.. He is Love. He is therefore incapable of breaking His own law.

  • @tallhall89 So if god said not to murder and he killed a person does that mean he does not have to follow his own rules? What makes him above his laws he makes and why make a law if you yourself does not follow it. Your god seems less just if he does not follow his own laws as well if he is unchanging than does that mean the laws of the OT still apply?

  • @tallhall89----If God (Father-Son-Holy Ghost Trinity as One) is Unchanging and the Bible is the Inerrant Word of God, how do you explain God's complete personality change from the OT to the NT??? Bi-polar disorder, Schizophrenia, Multiple Personality Disorder???

  • Sin is something they tell you you're born with, so, from the beginning, you believe you have no chance. Great way to keep the masses under control without having to physically be there

  • @MisterMatthewRoberts Sin is breaking the law, doing the wrong thing. Did someone teach you to do wrong, or do you have to be taught to do right? Would you not agree that's easier to do the wrong thing, than the right thing?

  • anyone can say that this is a way for religion to use people in return for money, but nothing can be further than the truth. People have a concience and our concience tells us right from wrong. That testisfy how God has put in us a inner conscience and we know when we are in sin. The bible has testify that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. I myself is a sinner and no one is perfect.

  • this is in general to all people who like to argue about God, if you have to use big words that nobody understands, how does that prove your point (even to yourself)? If you believe in God and Jesus, nobody has to argue. Simple words can describe what's within.

  • Even the scientific establishment right now states that matter has not always existed, rather it came into existence at the big bang. What started the big bang? The only logical explanation is some all powerful being. The most logical explanation for that is God.

  • @Gideon74123 I see you know little of the doughnut theory but even that has no answer, but let us go on your misguided theory, ok then so who made god, does god himself have a god ad infenitum. Your theory fails at the first step 0/10 please try again with more effort this time

  • When i was a kid other kids use to talk about brains gushing out from horror movies and it repulsed and greatly offended me big time a abominations sicken me

  • sin is convincing others there's an imaginary man in the sky

  • sin is believing in religious dogma that teaches people are born in sin..grow a brain folks!!

  • This really doesn't explain what sin is. It just explains what are sins.

  • google Doe's Account.

  • Sin is violation of YHVH's law. Fortunately the law applies only to Bronze-Age desert nomads. "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law" Romans 3:19 And a very good thing, too, as the law results in more sin. "The law came that sin might ABOUND." Romans 5:20 As I am NOT a Bronze-Age desert dweller, the law has nothing to do with me. Therefore I am without sin. "Where there is no Law, there is no sin." Romans 4:15 The Bible tells me so.
  • throughout the Bible God also judged people and kings of other nations when they refused to follow basic morality that everyone knows is right (cruelty, injustice, lying, oppression, etc. In Romans 2:12-16, Paul tell us that all are judged by their conscience, whether you know the law or don't.

  • @dotoree "throughout the Bible..." Yes, so the fairy tale goes. According to the myth he also killed tens of thousands of people who had nothing to do with the sin, just because he was cranky. He ordered and committed genocide merely because people had a different religion. commanded his people to rip little girls from the bloody arms of their murdered mothers and take them home to share with his priests. He approved public rape as punishment for sin. He is an evil myth.
  • @Imaginefree69 Sorry, but all are given a conscience..and while those who know God's law are responsible for following it, and experience many benefits when they do (such as living 10 years longer than other Americans if we follow God's health laws),

  • Comment removed

  • @dotoree Evolution supplies all that is needed for the development of codes of conduct that preserve and facilitate survival and co-operation. Such sensitivities in no way support any particular god. In fact, as Christians believe that their most heinous acts will be magically vanished and forgotten via human sacrifice, they actually have very little incentive to act in a moral manner. Hmmm.. That explains a lot.
  • @Imaginefree69 Evolution? To actually believe that matter eternally existed and then somehow by chance arranged itself into order takes MORE FAITH than simply to believe the obvious ... that God "is". He is the First Cause. He created mankind with moral awareness. He determines what is "right" and "wrong". People can choose to align themselves with Him or rebel against Him ... a thing called "volition" which you are exercising here.

  • @loveroflife365 In the first place, "matter eternally existed" has nothing to do with evolution. That's an entirely different topic. Second, there is little difference between "matter eternally existed" and "god eternally existed." Beyond those two logical errors you have merely parroted some of the tenets of your religion, which is totally useless as an argument. If you want to argue for the existence of your god you need to come up with some genuine and accurate arguments.
  • @Imaginefree69 ... then in your world, murder is okay ... robbing a bank not a crime? .... that is, since there is no law, right? Since you are quoting scripture as fact, which it is, then take a look at I John 1:8: "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." ... just sayin'...

  • @loveroflife365

Why do you carefully avoid the error I pointed out,

and respond instead with lies about my beliefs?

Please explain how "god eternally existed"

is more logical than "matter eternally existed."

I'm sure you would, if you could.

  • @Imaginefree69 If one does not believe that a Self-Existent Being created all in nature that can be observed, then he is forced to believe that some other "matter" somehow, some way originated all in nature that can be observed. How did life arise from NON-life, Imaginefree69? People who refuse to acknowledge the OBVIOUS ... God's Eternality and Deity ... are then FORCED to dream up another explanation, which, of course, can be believed, but is not the truth.

  • Laziness is a sin, but submission to an employer must occur wholeheartedly. If the employer/employment isn't true to God's will, how can a true believer submit to it?

"Son, thou must diligently make it thine aim that in every place and every action or outward employment, thou be inwardly free and master of thyself; and that all things be under thee, and not thou under them.

That thou mayest be ruler of thine actionsk, not a slave or bought with a price."

    - T Kempis: Imitation of Christ

  • watch?v=QPOm5NBMfqs&feature=sub

  • I love this guy so much. God bless :]

  • Sin is anything that changes the way God created things. For example God created the earth, animals and man, so if you change the earth, animals or man in any possible way, then this is sin.

  • @ILoveYouToThe9999999

God created us with the freedom to change the way he created things, knowing that we would sin. Therefore we haven't actually changed anything, but lived out the script which he wrote (especially according to Calvinism).

  • anger's not a sin; it's a feeling and can be controlled, punishment isn't a sin; it's Love, God does not hate for God is love

(1 John ch. 4 vs. 8) and God's jealousy isn't the same as human jealousy (2 Corinthians ch.11 vs. 2) God's jealousy is purely Love because he hates to see His creation falling into sin which God did not bring but rather humankind. So God sent Christ to die for our sins once and for all so we would not die spiritually ( Romans 3:23, 6:23; Hebrews 10:10)

  • how is jealousy , LOVE???? how is punishment LOVE ????

stop quoting the bible...tell me straight... use your brain and think for yourself and tell me what jealousy and punishment has got to do with LOVE????

  • Did your parents ever ground you for messing up?

  • i think so , it was a long time ago

BUT i don't understand why you ask me

  • um if ur friends and family and all people ignored u, u would be annoyed and jelous of ur life now. because u Love it more than that life. if u Love someone or something u teach it right and wrong. u punish them if they disobey to teach them becaue u love them. UR not beating them to death just a simple act of discipline to show u care. But if u have all good kids or loved ones doing right then punishment doesnt exist. no need. but thats why we have Laws now in all governments and punishments.

  • sin will take you father than you want to go and cost you more than you want to pay.

  • Jesus said that everyone who wants to go around Jesus into heaven is a thief and a liar

  • "Founding your identity on anyone or anything other then Jesus.." The points you made on this are just the answers I've been searching for.

  • Jesus was God fulfilling the Law of Moses in the Torah. Not one of us can say that we have never broken the law. Break any commandment and you've broken all and are condemned to both physical and spirtual death. That's why there were the blood sacrifices in the old testament to cover sin. Jesus (God) entered into his own creation, lived a sinless life according to the law. Died rose again conquering death and imputes his rightousness to us who put our faith and trust in him and what he did.

  • Sin according to the bible is: Sin is the Transgression of the Law (Torah). It is taking occassion by a commandment (getting around the commandments). Christians don't know what sin is - like this person- lots of words with no content - Keep God's commandments and Live! The blood of the Messiah is not meant for sinning on purpose

  • Sin is when we break God's Moral Law given through Moses in the ten commandments. Not one of us can say we have not kept the law. God entered into his own creation as Jesus Christ to live a sinless life and fulfill the law and take the punishment for Sin which is death.

  • This is off topic, but I put a video on youtube and it has no sound. Anyone know of a way I can fix this?

  • Great discussion... Sin is the absence of obedience. What is obedience? human resposnibility vs. divine sovereignty.. We are connected to God through our level of obedience.. I would agree with Mark in his definition, however I did not hear much about obedience...

  • I have to respectfully disagree with you on the point you made about obedience. His whole explanation of sin implies that obedience is extremely important.

  • Sin is one of the toughest Christian doctrines to share with others because it's so REAL to everyone. It's the "ugly" that each of us carries, but at the same time it's WHY we should be so desperate for Christ's love. No sin, no separation, no need for a Savior. As a believer I am called to daily examine my heart and my actions so that I sin less. That includes judging other peoples mistakes. God is the only way I can do that. Tough to hear but very important to understand.

  • what is sin?
