One of the cops that arrived at this scene was quoted as saying, "We're about to arrest the whole bunch of you, and clean things up. Cause we're tired of this game." It also took several phone calls before they arrived on the scene.
The police arrested him and drummed up charges because they feel threatened by the fact that someone is trying to do their job...funny being that what this guy did should be everyone's civil responsibility. Gotta love this era of problem orientated - homeland security policing we live in.

The police has a monopoly on force in this country. IE They have unchallenged control. When this control is contested, challenged, or competed with, they respond in order to defend their control: calling vigilantes "suspicious", "not effective", arresting them, "taking their masks as evidence" (yeah right, attempt to humiliate), and other diminutive, punitive measures that function to re-establish their control. With every control, there must be counter-control, or else that control is abused.

The Seattle PD doesn't like Jones because he's been one upping them at their own job. When he "injects" himself in a situation, he calls 911, every time, which makes the police have to respond to fights, and things that they'd really rather not have to respond to. One of the cops that arrived at this scene was quoted as saying, "We're about to arrest the whole bunch of you, and clean things up. Cause we're tired of this game." It also took several phone calls before they arrived on the scene.
