We recently found out one of our twins has mild cerebral palsy. He is three years old.
We have asked many a question as to the quality of life he has ahead of him. No one has been able to tell us yet. I found this video very enlightening and comforting knowing that life can be pretty good for him in his later years. Although you made clear that certain tasks require more thought. It seems you are happy and clued in to what is going on, and that you
I have the same type of CP, same severity, and at times it makes me frustrated that I can't seem to find friends that also have the same type and severity of CP
I just thought people should know that cp itself does not get progressively worse but the secondary conditions associated with cp can deteriorate with age.
Hey Dustin, the name is Dave and I'm a neurology resident doing a study on CP. I'm wondering if I could pick your brain as your video had some interesting thouhgts thanks again! Dave
I also have a mild form of spastic cp I could really relate to many of your experiences. I really appreciated your honesty and ability to let others know about the everyday struggles that can come up, but that many w/ cp have the same aspirations and capablities as those who are not disabled. Take care
...you have a great outlook on your life and I love that you love your family! Some people can get so down on life, and it's great to see someone who rises above it. God Bless
I just want to thank you for sharing this. My son was born 10 weeks early (he is now just over 7 weeks old non adjusted) and has been diagnosed with mild cystic periventricular leukomalacia. Long story short, it gives him a risk of having spastic diplegia among other things and I have been searching to learn more about this. He is doing amazing and has come home from the hospital a week ago. He is a miracle. I pray that if he does have CP he can be as well off and level headed as you
Your courage is inspirational - everyone could learn a life lesson from you!

I never thought of explaining cp like you do. The glass of water and hurrying to things is spot on.
