i just got a 10 sct from losi and my castle system over heated and smoked up so I'm looking to buy a new brand of esc and iv been looking in to the Havoc Pro SC/Ballistic 550 Short Course Systems is this a good system for the truck or what other brand do you recommend
@matttherat12069 Yes, in-fact check out our video from last week, now called On The Horizon. Novak has a Mike Truhe Edition of that system specifically for the TEN-SCTE
@matttherat12069 I have the ten scte, and the novak ballistic and havoc pro esc. I had to send the esc back due to a power board failure within a week. Everything I have read and experience has said the esc is unreliable. I'm going to give it another shot, we'll see how round two goes! Everyone i have talked to recommends the MMP or Tekin RX8
Regarding the mcp x problem, and other issues i had before with my msr i must say that your support is very good, the world would be better with more companies like yours.
hmmm...so the only new thing in the flying world is a fix for something that wasn't made too well. Any chance we will get seperate updates so there is more focus on what we are interested in? Seems like losi takes over every vid these days. No offense. It just changed a ton since i signed up awhile back with Jim who was into planes more...
@mfasouletos Mfasouletos if there's news to discuss on the air-side we cover it. Last week was almost exclusively air. If there's no new releases then I ask what news is there to discuss? We started this new format post Nuremberg which is when you get a lot of new product announcements. Losi and Team Losi Racing have had a lot of things coming out recently which is why they have been featured quite a bit. Then again so has Spektrum.
@SecondCocacola Yes, I've been racing for nearly 20 years, competed at regional and national events, many top-10 placings in national events too. I do enjoy running RC boats and fly on occasion, but my passion is on the surface side and racing. In-fact I filmed our review of the TLR 22 this past Friday night at one of our local club races where I TQ'ed round one, got beat in round 2 but took the overall win in the main.
@tomtom4867 They're both good cars/trucks if you want to go out and just bash and have fun. The Boost has the added benefit of being able to be raced at local tracks that have a 2WD Buggy class.

with that ten-stce could you use a brushed motor to cut the cost down? i have never really liked kits just becuase how expensive they can be

@tomtom4867 I would not recommend Brushed. Yeah, you're cheaper up front but you'll be going through motors rather quickly.
