  • LOL did you use mario paint for the title screen? :)

  • @lander77477 Ha ha! Yes I did. In fact, if I keep uploading these RETRO things..you'll find Mario Paint as a titler in a LOT of the. Ha ha. Thanks for watching!

  • nice to see this old footage. you're the man!

  • @eyyojung Thanks for watching!

  • Chris is da man! Thanks for taping this cool vintage stuff. In 1989 I bought an RCA CC 310 VHS camcorder. I think it weighed 10 lbs, and was in a carrying case the size of a suitcase. Pretty tough to sneak around. The only vintage on location footage I have is of a beat Terminator 2 at a laundrymat, shot using an 8 mm hi fi camcorder, circa 1998 I think. One of these days it will be on You Tube.

  • i love such "youth retro off-the-cuff" videos.. i have done some by myself in the past and its so great watching them with my friends.. but unfortunately nothing in the context of pinball. so thanks for sharing these private recordings with us "for the sake of pinball" :)

    happy holidays, chris!

    greets from cologne, germany :)

  • Thank you for sharing with us such wonderful videos, Chris :)

  • Nice vid Chris, this explains something - you are very skillful indeed at Pinball, your technique is superb, natural and displaying a sense of cool and ball awareness that more jumpy players do not possess. This also explains how you can get so far in those tricky PC Engine games you review!!! Skillz bro. Meeery Xmas!

  • I see your Tilt location also had a Twilight Zone back then too. So did the tilt near me as well. Hell, they had a for sale sign on the thing forever for like 1,400 bucks or something. The kid working there said it had one small problem blowing a fuse all the time and he tried and couldnt figure out the problem, however he wasnt really a tech though either. I knew even at that time it was a killer deal and should have bought it when I had the chance.

  • right next to Rescue 911 was one of the best Pin Ball games ever, Twilight Zone, suprised you didn't get some footage of playing that game.

  • @aegisofhonor If I remember correctly, the Rescue 911 footage was shot at Tilt, where they said "DO NOT FILM." Notice the horrible angle I got. Plus, I believe the TZ was not working...which is pretty typical as well. :)

    Thanks for watching.

  • @spida1a oh don't get me started on "not working" TZs, there was one locally that had huge mechanical issues for over a year some years back, I'd tell the staff about it and they'd do NOTHING about it. Hugely fun to play when it works, but "when it works" is always an issue. Sadly, I haven't been able to play a real Twilight Zone in over a decade.

  • epic

  • i like this vidéo thanks for posting

  • In 1994 I had just got into pinball machines.I remember playing on some really old analogue score display machines in Malta.Whenever I finished dinner, I would go to to play on them in our hotel.Later in June,I played on this The Simpsons machine in Weymouth in the UK. I scored about 2mil on this machine which had a burn mark on the play table! What wasn't funny was a ball got stuck and I asked the arcade guy to help.He got it unstuck, but got a non serious electric shock from the machine.

  • I gotta admit that what @JBoyPacman said is true. There's some cultural significance here, and we have you to thank. (And we have you to thank for making it entirely watchable, too. B)

Trevor had such terrible luck on Truck Stop at the beginning. :P

Was the last place-- the "Bad Cats" game where you had to record covertly? Great job with the 1P recording AND gaming.

  • I noticed only Rescue 911 was a DMD game and all the other was System 11

  • Please tell me you still have the TAZ t-shirt.

  • Wonderful video, Chris! You guys were lucky to have so many good pins close to you. The only one near me was a Data East Star Wars. Man, I played the heck out of that game! Then it just disappeared one day and I haven't played a pin since.

  • You look the same!

  • im so glad you've done all this!

    thanks Chris!!!

  • i watched this with a big grin on my face. thanks for sharing.

  • Wow, 1994...that was the heyday of gaming for me. Awesome seeing some retro videos!

  • 94 ahh that's when there were arcades and a pinball machine to be found. The only time i see one these days is at a truckstop or bowling alley spida1a.

  • Awesome buddy. Happy holidays.

  • Wow this is so awesome to see this old video you made, it's especially cool to see the old editing compared to your new editing. Great video.

  • 20:06 sorry

  • i hear nirvana around 20:20 in your video

  • there was a bar in my city where they had lotsof pinbal machinesandarcade games... I loved it to the max when I was a kid.

    Nirvana & Gokarts... I sooo mis 90s

    Great videoxD

  • Man some classic footage, are those videos from putt putt?

  • @stealthfreak Unfortunately, no. By this time, Putt Putt had nothing in the arcade pinball-wise (they closed a few years later). Diner / Truck Stop were at Pilot Truck Stop. Whirlwind was at a Billiards place. Taxi was in my bedroom (ha ha). Cactus Jack's was at a Club. Rescue 911 at TILT in the mall. Cyclone and Bad Cats were in the airport arcade. :)

  • @spida1a Wow, I only knew about the diner, and whirlwind from your previous videos. I appreciate you getting back to me with these answeres.

  • I love that even before youtube... you were making youtube vids LOL

  • @MoreDakka101 Ha ha. Yeah......one guy....no audience but himself. LOL! :)

  • Thx for posting, Chris - now we all know where all that vintage 90s pinball footage came from

    =}

    Brian

  • @izaurralde Yup! There's quite a bit more too. Ha ha. :)

    Than Brian!

  • Even at 16 years old in 1994, your videos are still much better than the majority of YouTube.

  • @whitemike4life86 Well, thanks. I cringe a bit showing the footage.... : )

  • is there actaly a way to shut off the sound on an pinball machine?

  • @KGA7771 Games like Cyclone have a "pot" inside you can dip down to shut the sound off. The newer games have + and - switches inside the coindoor. :)

  • What a gem! I love this video for nostalgic purposes only. Im not a big pinball fan but i enjoying seeing the street footage and that peek into mcdonalds. The street, the people, the clothes, it all brings me back. Thank you so much!

  • @TheEschwank02 Ha ha. You want to put yourself out there in the worst way....show something you created as a kid. Talk about feeling naked. I'm glad you enjoy it! Thanks a lot.

  • @TheEschwank02 Totally agree with this comment. Anything of nostalgia from the 80s/90s is awesome. No matter what it is. Its just a bonus that you're "presenting" it Chris. A nice look back.

  • @rngpro Thanks my friend. I'll try to find some more goodies later on. :)

  • Yeah dude TILT and the RED BARON!!! Back when the mall used to be fun. I cant believe they took out mcdonalds in there. great retro vids.

  • @str8kracker TO me....that pizza joint across from the pet shop will ALWAYS be Red Baron. I refuse to eat there. HA HA. ;)

  • nice videos, ty for sharing

  • @felipesewaybricker Thanks my friend!

  • So much watching these older videos from you Chris a real "time capsule" for sure my friend.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  • @jboypacman Thanks my friend. Same to you!

  • Totally forgot about Whirlwind. "Looks like rain!!" I remember the sounds. I probably played it maybe a handful of times but weird how I remembered. Good quality video especially for VHS!

  • @flexor212000 Hey, cool. Thanks for watching Flexor!!! It's silly, I know. Hey, if you're interested....check out my pinball playlist. I do an overview video of my Whirlwind game! Thanks again!
