"Back Street Crawler",a bamda que o Paul Kossof montou após sair do "Free",é uma dessas bandas fundamentais ,da história da nossa "trilha sonora",o "Rock"!!!!
@hawkwind90 Occasionally, when playing, he would lean back against his amp (if you look through some of the compilation videos of FREE on here, you can see it), which would make it appear as though he and the music were one... that, coupled with your statement, sums up Koss's six-string sorcery almost perfectly.
RIP Paul Kossoff - the legend cut tragically short.
@sidtomkins You are so right here... I don't know what exactly the fuck is going on here, but, it's burning through my soul.... I find their mutual track "i'm ready" is lacking after this.....
BTW, this is the only Free related track I know of where Andy Fraser and Rabbit are recorded on the same song, with or without Rodgers, Kirke and Kossoff.
People unfamiliar with this album might be interested to know that the B-side is a one track jam called "Tuesday Morning" that, amongst others includes Trevor Burton on Bass and Alan White on Drums, some great musicians on this album.
Thanks so much for posting this! I've never heard it before (and I'm a huge Koss fan). I knew of the Back Street Crawlers, but never heard any...this one is a realy treat, with Paul Rogers on vocals! Truly, this is like a lost track from Free.
It is a deep regret that I never saw Free nor Back Street Crawler with Paul Kossoff. I saw Band Co. and Back Street Crawler soon after his death - not the same obviously.
Thank you very much.I'd apreciate you sending me as much info as you can, about the album this track comes from and generally about Kossoff.Thank you again

Note the backing vocal. One of the most under rated singers of my time - Jess Roden

He died so young, and is still so underappreciated...as are Free as a whole,
although its Jess Roden's backing vox that make this tune!

He was David Kossoff the actors son

The song is "Molten Gold", from Kossoff's solo album, Backstreet Crawler. He then put together a band with that name.
