  • Did you know that Apollo missions to the moon used an electronic sextant to line up the stars Rigel and Sirius for midcourse corrections?

  • ... and that doesn't speak volumes? That they LOST tapes of the biggest event in science history?? Comeon lemmings .... wake up.

  • if they find then original recording tapes, it will get the chance to enchance the image quality much more. Nasa is making a searching in their archives, trying to find where they put the original tapes.

  • RETARD ALERT!!! RETARD ALERT!!!

  • And my daughter could do a better video restoration.

  • Never mind the stars as seen from the moon's surface. Let's see the beautiful photographs of the heavens taken during the half-million-mile-round-trip! These photos possess awe-inspiring clarity of the stars! Has anyone seen them?

  • They should have asked George Lucas to restore it. There would be imperial walkers in the background.

  • Im down with that as long as Jar Jar Binks isnt involved.

  • Erm why does the archive version look better than the restoration?

  • That's what I was about to say man. it looks really muddy!

Sometimes I think that they have cut a lot of the footage from the actual 'landing". But yeah I think they used filters to make it a bit more sharp but by doing that they lose contrast. Nasa dollars at work !

  • 1950s version is better.

    Failure.

  • The moon landing was in 1969.

    FAILURE.

  • Sorry, typo. See that the "5" key is next to the "6" key. :3

  • What effects? All I see is Armstrong reading a plaque while on the moon.

  • These are such cool videos!
