@jonaz231 A more accurate analogy would have the father build the bridge, build the train, strap the kid under the bridge and make the bridge fall onto him. Then THAT would be a good analogy. And have the kid come back to life three days later.
This thing actually happened in India,on Pamban bridge ,located in Tamil nadu ,India.
It is rumoured that certain loco pilots (people driving trains) have seen a mysterious man, holding human remains close to his chest, believed to be the remains of his son's dead body :\
For those of you who don't realize what the story is about, the man is portraying God, and the little boy is Jesus, his only son. This movie makes us think about how God gave up his boy for all of us (the train passengers), and we thank Him for that.
So basically, the son saw the train go too fast and the bridge wasnt even down yet, so everyone wouldve died. So, the son did a heroic action, and went to the engine room himsf. But, he fell in. And the dad figured out the situation, so he had to make a choice. His son, or all the people. He decided to save the people, and the big wheel crushed him. But, i wouldnt hate him. Sure, i wouldve saved my son. But think about the people in the train. If i was in there, i woudve been happy to be saved
@vijaydeegreat yup,the red signal and the train did'nt stop,..so its not his fault anymore,he can blame it to the train operator...and for me,it doesn't matter if i lose my job and sentenced a lifetime in prison as long as my son is alive...
But sweetheart, don't you understand the imagery here? To be honest, I'm with you. I would want my son alive. But do you recognize what this is symbolizing?
I thought that the boy was in the little engine room place below the bridge..?? The train wouldn't have killed him.. i don't get it.. did the child die.??
@Alice75Bloom the boy falls into the bridge gear while attempting to lower the bridge. Then the father with a horrific choice lowers the bridge, so the boy was crushed inside :'(
technically, HE'S A STUPID BRIDGEMASTER...its he's job and off course he knows the time/schedule of that train,so why he let the boat pass at that moment?
@Aritul Dear friend, this story is originally happened dates back during British rule in India, and is inspired from it.
The incident originally happened at the Pamban Bridge is situated in Tamil Nadu (Rameshwarm), India. At the entrance of the bridge you can see a picture of a weeping man holding some human body parts close to his chest, which was his only son.
British Government honored him greatly and in memory of this incident they placed the picture at the entrance of the bridge.
it doesnt shown in this video that the father scarifies his son to save people on the train. it doesnt shown that he is tortured by choice to pick who is going to live his son or people, and i think it's a main point of the movie.
i DEFINITELY dunt recommend this movie why cause its soooooooooo emotional make you cry like 3- 4times and thats what happen to me : ( so warning for people who are emotional i was just joking about the DUNT recommend thing this movie is by far very much hit everyone in the heart : ) thank you lord god for what you have toke and made us live : )
I saw a similar short movie once, only there, the boy was playing under the bridge and he was deaf. The dad saw the train and couldn't shout to warn his son, who was crushed.. I can't remember the name, but it is very similar to this one and very emotional as well...
is this a part of a movie, if this a part of a movie, can you pls give me the title?

this story is based in one verse on the bible, JOHN 3:16. Our pastor used this movie once in his preaching. Nice but touching story :)
