  • I can not find the spring coil belt can you suggest a place?

  • The Singer 319 original balance/hand wheel appears to be made of aluminum. Substituting the heavier, cast iron spoked balance/hand wheel would definitely make it easier treadling.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I have a green 319k that I converted to treadle. At first I found it really hard work to use, until I thought to change to a spoked hand wheel as you have done. I love the spring belt idea - where do you get the springs and what do they sell them as? Thanks! :o)

  • Glad the video helped and happy to hear you use your 319k as a treadle! :) You can get the spring belts online. Search for coil spring belts.

  • @wheatina1 By the way, I had a different solution to the bobbin issue - I removed the curved piece of wood that goes under the machine. That way I can fit & remove the bobbin by 'feel' by reaching underneath, without having to lift the machine up :o) Not ideal (sometimes I miss and get oily fingers), but it works!

  • Great video, could you please show the Singer Parlor 21 in action.
