  • BBC is a puppet of USA and England. Chavez is helping the poor something the "white" presidents never did. Period.

  • BBC DOCUMENTARY ON VENEZUELAN STATE TV EVEN IF ITS BEEN CRITICIZING CHAVEZ

  • Guys... I live in the states... Black kids get shot here on a daily basis too... and we are not nearly as poor as Venezuela. Cut the bullshit. Look at the actual accomplishments. The bit about the school programs... that's why the people love him.

  • well there ghettos in every country why trash just Chavez? US has ghettos no one here is complaining about them as they have the strongest economy. ANTI-CHAVEZ hypocrites here.

  • John Sweeney is the journalist here and I had some sympathy for him after his infamous loss of control when he was investigating Scientology. However, I consider him to be a flawed reporter given this documentary and his attempted character assassination of Julian Assange. He needs to get a job at MacDonalds where he belongs.

  • oh he changed alot of things, but we dont like him because he could do more LOL

  • @CachicamoVenezolano i don't know about you, but in the united states that's called water conservation, unless hugo chavez has an army of soldiers that are really really thirsty

  • @ZombieNopali I'm talking about the public services not working, I dont know what you are talking about

  • MUERTE AL CHAVEZ

  • BBC ARE LIARS AND TOOLS OF THE INTERNATIONAL BANKERS AND THE ONE"S WHO RULE GOVERNMENT!!

    !

  • What a dump. There is no longer any freedom of speech, no free elections, There's utter poverty, crime and gang warfare ETC

OH! But at least the government is giving away free handouts like healthcare!! Just like in Socialist Germany and USSR!

  • @calstategop IT SHOULD BE FREE BITCH!!! It's the governments duty to take care of the people that take care of them. Would God charge fro healthcare boy? It's a human right!!!

  • @DavidOwenWard The government took good care of the Jews in Germany... Not to mention anyone else the government didnt like. Nuff said there.

  • Well once again, I reiterate President Chavez like President Ortega of Nicaragua is making major strides in the areas of health nutrition and education. I think these same negative things we here out of some in the corporate media are very similar to what we heard about the first reign of the Sandinistas in the 80s which saw not only a terroristic war against them but an embargo. I have learned that FSLN then and now are doing great as Chavez.is, Chavez enemies even admit hes helping the poor.

  • @roberts11000 I can send you numbers from the murder rates, I got it from a very communist and pro-govenrment page, then you´ll decide If Chavez did help the poor or not, since the numbers have tripled.

  • @CachicamoVenezolano

What can Chavez do when columbian paramiliary forces try to spread violence, crime and chaos? Furthermore the police is totally corrupt and you cant get a new police force in a few days. But now the new humanist police that is build up cooperates with the community and shows some very good results in fighting crime. Where they are already active in and around caracas they reduced murder, robberies ... by 60%! [source: venezuelanalysis. com]

  • @spitfiree most of that info is science-fiction. The paramilitary and guerrilla dont act on big Venezuelan cities, which are pretty far from the Colombian border. The police was always corrupt, the murder numbers, which were big 15 years ago, triplicated thanks to Chavez way of runing the country. I sent you the link I'm talking about so you can check out that.

  • the real slave people are in america!!!chavez is the last real president of a country in this world....incoruptible!!he loves his country more than many americans loves their parents...

  • @rekinu11 "the last real president of a country in this world"?

wow, someone's been brainwashed. that's what dictators do.

  • this lie this is not bbc

  • I am British and I am positive that this is not from the BBC.

Never in my life have I seen such a unusual report from the BBC. The style is totally different - the commentry is too informal, and the BBC usually subtitle non-English languages instead of dubbing them.

  • He is dividing the country that's the true, even if he still have support he forgets about the other people that does not share hes ideas, locking up all who opposes him. Apart from this there is too much corruption and Venezuela is a dangerous place this is what really worries Venezuelan society. I understand that media sometimes is wants the people think in a different way, so I am putting a link where you can see the reality been record by normal people with their mobile phone QUELACREO . C0M

  • Chavez is supporting terrorist groups in my country. I'm colombian, by the way. He is trying to expand his communist revolution using violence. He has closed the media that has opposed his actions. He is a sick guy and he is taking Venezuela into its deepest economic and social crisis in history.

  • the bad things in this film are not true, they are false

  • its all true

  • So do you admit that Chavez has done some good things aswell as bad? I dont want to start a fight mate, I'm just interested in what real Venezuelans think, not foreigners who think they know whats going on in Venezuela....

  • To be honest, I dont think he has done anything good to this country. Its really sad.

  • @CachicamoVenezolano My question is under US backed leaders, why did the poor not get an education , not get access to health care and not get basic food?I think for those to criticize Chavez there are three fingers pointing back at them.Perhaps Chavez could do more, but this critical film even admits he has done something and that's better than the nothing of past leaders.

  • @roberts11000 Chavez has shown the poor the presence of the State in some unempleyment checks, discount food, preventive medicine doctors, etc. The message to the poor people was "hello, I know you are there, have hope, its going to be better in the future". But time passed, and no future came, just the same communist movie that happened in Cuba, is what we are witnessing.

  • @roberts11000 Venezuela´s international debt, which in 1958 was 0 (zero), rapidly began its growth, thanks to the belief that the state had to pay for everything. I do not fool you when I say that the horse race stadiums and business as a hole belonged to the State. But like many state companies, the management was so wrong that it didn´t generate earnings.

  • @roberts11000 On the education thing, lets point out that Venezuela´s economy was driven from an agricultural one to an oil one. People in the interior of Venezuela migrated to the capital and bigger cities, where they could get another job and better (or hoped) for a better future. Lets add poverty, high levels of non-education, etc. So, basically, Venezuela was a poor country and then only developed almost one main activity. Out economy isnt diversified.

  • @roberts11000 I really criticized Chavez at the beggining because I though he was a violent man, with no sense of democracy. But now, 11 years later, its not a matter of simpathy, is the evident fact of destruction this man is doing to the country. Saddly, Chavez is just a communist idiot, that steals the nations budget and sends it to other countries, meanwhile, homicide numbers have tripled, light goes off every day, you can´t find food on the market, I get little watter per hours of the day.

  • @roberts11000 lets say the US backed those leaders since Venezuela was, before them, under a military dictartorship. In 1958, center-left parties started the called democratic era, in which I think they comited the mistake of trusting oil as almost the only exporting good, and to relie everything on it. Later, Venezuela nationalized the oil industry, which only helped creating the Father State. In the 70´s the State began owning industries and aplying socialism, subsidizing and getting in debt.

  • @CachicamoVenezolano To be honest keep your ass off the damn wrong tv channel. The BBC don't give a damn about Ven. Now you should do your home work. Every place has stories like this in the world!! The poor are better off than before!! And that means that he is doing something!!! This BBC asshole can go in your country and tell there side of your story about your country?

  • @DavidOwenWard Why don´t you move here? you´ll find the biggest electricity generators of the world, the biggest water pocessing plants. But you won´t have water or electricity, because Chavez government has not invested in these services, instead he has donated 100 million dolars to Honduras, another 100 million to Bolivia, infinite millions to Cuba and so on. The crime rates and murder rates are three times higher than 10 years ago. Come live the reality instead of eating the comunist bullshit

  • @CachicamoVenezolano I dont have too boy!! I live in America. If you can live in America you can live anywhere. He invested in the poor. You must be the privilege class. And that is his duty to help those in his region or other Latin Countries. What's wrong with you. The crime rate in America is the highest in the world. Stop crying over spilled milk, and thank God for a man like this. God is pleased with him and that's why and castro last as long as they did!! Stop listening to the media!

  • @DavidOwenWard You seem to be a crack smoker, common in US. "God is pleased with him"? come back when you are not high

  • @CachicamoVenezolano Was Jesus on crack when he helped the poor boy? God is not with the rich. Like I said why you think Fidel ruled for so long. If God is in power "which he is" then he would have been gone long before. Shut Up!!!!

  • @DavidOwenWard Maybe thats why Bush stayed for 8 years LOL... come on, you sound like a leftist Pat Robertson. You shut up.

  • @CachicamoVenezolano Was Jesus on crack when he helped the poor? God is pleased with him, because he is still running the country. If i were not so he would have been gone!

  • @DavidOwenWard

The crime rate in America is nowhere near Venezuela's. Caracas \is the murder capitol of the world.

And who are you to tell an actual Venezuelan what's going on in his country while you sit on your ass here in America?

  • @CachicamoVenezolano wait.... more then half the population receiving free healthcare is not anything good? LOL

  • @ZombieNopali I'll Doble LOL...I will ROLF at that comment. Have you been in a Venezuelan hospital? healthcare? what are you talking about? my brother works in a hospital, he can tell you that sometimes they dont have gauze or iodine. We pay for the surgery gloves the State is suppose to give to him, since is a "public hospital". You may be talking about the "free healthcare" provided by the cuban doctors, thats another story. Its only diagnosis modules, wich is not bad, but its not healthcare

  • @CachicamoVenezolano oh... so the hospitals were way superior before then. he hasn't improved anything at all.

these hospitals should be able to provide just as much as a hospital in europe or the united states, because venezuela has just as much or more money then them.

  • @ZombieNopali Some hospitals were a little better before. The Valencia Hospital was improving in the 1990's because the state government could take care of it, less burocracy, more eficiency. Now the minister in Caracas takes care of almost all hospitals in Venezuela (again) like 25 years ago. That means suplies run out but the director of the hospital doesn't complain because he/she was put there by the chavistas, the minister doesn't live near the hospital or the people who use it

  • @ZombieNopali Chavez invested in health, but in a parallel system most of it, the "barrio adentro". They didn't really take care of the hospitals. There were some hospitals that had no problems, now they have problems. So more or less now theres some improvement in prevention and diagnose, some isolated atention centers, the hospitals are the same or worse in most cases.

  • @ZombieNopali This pics are from Ciudad Hospitalaria Henrique Tejera in Valencia, Carabobo ht tp : // w w w . lapatilla. com/site/2011/ 10/15/dantescas-imagenes-dan-cuenta-de-la-emergencia-que-se-vive-en-el-hospital-de-carabobo/

  • @CachicamoVenezolano Are you on crack? Poverty has decreased massively under his leadership and now the poor have healthcare and children go to school.

  • @TheMotherEagle you can't decrease poverty with just leadership, ask Castro. Read my comments.

  • @PTS82

it is all bullshit!! i live here in venezuela. this country is going down with chavez!!! we are doomed... we are broke...

  • I love Chavez.
