10 years ago when I was 13 at my grandma's house just got off of school life was so simple and would love to watch dragon ball z would come home from the bus would see my grandma and gpa. would run to my aunts room. turn on the t.v would stop to listen to the beginning of this but I always loved the beginning never watched the show but this music was always something I knew that could take me back to that time

I like the tv show version better than the movie version. The 12 string guitar on the tv show sounds better, and the horns are much less depressing than the real lyrics. That said, Richard Hooker's book, and the movie that followed had better stories than the tv show.

This song is so deep, but so true. It has a mixed message but this song and this show got me through 18 years of 2 Liver transplantys and 18+ Surgeries.

Will never forget the wonderful cast. Hawkeye, Margret, charles, Radar, hawkeyes friend, both of the ones that came and went, Cornel potter, and the one before him. It was a great show and it is sadly forgotten, but i loved it since i was 2 im now 19 and enjoy it just as much!

M.A.S.H. has accompanied me all of my life, from early childhood on. When this song came, just at the point when you could see Radar's head, I always woke up in my playpen and looked at the TV screen... and these days I'm 18 years old and I love love the series and the music... peace to all the fans!

It really is a great song! Knowing the words to it and then putting it in context with the war, brings the true heart ache of war to light. Not sure if thats what the producers of MASH was going for. Without the lyrics it seems nice and calm.
