This piece is absolutely my favorite song that i have played...i got into wind ensemble as a freshman (im a sophmore now) in high school and we played this in our last concert...it is absolutely breath taking to hear it again...i played the 1st horn part and it brings back so many good memories...thank you
@XxHardcoreTunes09xX its a basic minor chord with a ninth suspension i believe. in other words, (idk the root of the that particular chord so ill assume A) you got the basic A C E minor chord, they throw a B in there, which resolves back down to the A. i think :]
im playing this as a freshman alto sax in high school and it is so dificult to match the upperclassmen around me in tone. I absolutely love this song.
when it does that melody at 2:17 for the second time it basically completes my life. the fact that he puts it in minor the first time and major the second time literally made me have hope for mankind.
I played this piece almost a week ago at a concert. It is probably the most profound thing in my life I've played. I've met Mr. Camphouse and I wish I could meet him again and tell him how wonderful of a piece he gave us.
Unreal. I played this almost 7 years ago, and was still playing along with the trumpet part on my knee. What a great piece...gettin' a little emotional here.

I have constant chills when I listen to this song. So powerful. I remember half of us crying while preforming this piece.

Does anyone know what kind of chord that is at 1:54? That is one of my favorite chords but I could never figure out what kind it is.

I absolutely adore this piece of music. Especially if one really likes to hear piccolo... it comes through *very* clear on this recording :)

I played this last year as a sophomore in high school. I was the timpanist. Anyone who says playing timpani isnt hard needs to go away

I love this song. I played 1st horn on this last year. It's so dynamic. I wish I could get the chance to play this again.
