what are you talking about? any guitarist would say he sucks right now. Maybe not in the future, but right now his playing is VERY unappealing to the ear. And so what if he plays hockey? Janne Ninnimaa plays hockey and he's an incredible guitarist

actually i'll repeat myself: the song is like that, so he plays is like that. matter of fact, sometimes simpler songs are easier to mess up. another thing is: what if the drummer f*cks up? have you ever been on a stage? i have. sometimes you dont even hear the others around you all that well. that may have been the case with these two.
