Well, actually he could have done it with only 2 recording; one for the basses, and one for the higher notes, because it's repeatedly the same notes for the three violins :)
BTW, I really enjoyed it, brought some ideas into my mind, I think I would try it myself with my Kurzweil K2500X ;P
Hehe, awesome man! One of my favourite pieces all time, I associate it to death (in a positive way) - and this sounds awesome. :) Not as good as on strings, but still awesome. Too many dull, ordinary piano/guitar versions here on the tube.
Hey I liked it :) The beginning was nice, somewhere in the mid was abit chaotic, but you corrected it near the ending which was really making me curious - was sort of a buildup.
You play very well. But I think you played it a bit too fast.
